Attended a wine dinner on a Monday night & loved it! Food was fantastic with fresh mozzarella, although, not«traditional American» pizza.

I really, really loved the pizza. It’s the wood brick oven type. My only complaint is that a large pizza is small.

Unbelievably delicious pizza. Ordered the margherita pizza. Everything from the sauce, cheese, and dough are of the freshest quality. Highly recommend! Unfortunately just passing through Aiken or else I would be a regular!

Authentic Italian cuisine at its best! Very impressed with the menu choices and the hospitality of the owners and the staff. The food was delicious. My husband and I shared an appetizer, antipasto and a pizza, and we were very pleased and satisfied with the amount of food we had. Everything was SO tasty! Can’t wait to go back to try different things! Thanks, Cliff and Kirsten!

I love wood oven pizza so decided to stop in here. The restaurant appears to be family owned as what appeared to be a husband and wife waited on us. They were friendly and helpful with our order. We ordered a magarita pizza with pepperoni. When it arrived it looked delicious. It did have good flavor, however the middle was seriously soggy and the topping were all slipping off. We ended up using forks. Overall, the pizza could be good if they maybe used a little less sauce and olive oil. As is, it was just too soggy to give a 5 star review. Too bad because they seemed like nice people.

Can’t say enough about this place. We lived in Italy for three years and returned as a family of pizza snobs. My first visit I literally wanted to cry because it was so good and so authentic to true Neopolitian pizza. The family owned business is very friendly and service is good

If you like soggy pizza, this is your place. When I complained, they told me this is the way pizza is supposed to be. They got both our orders wrong. When we told them what we didn’t like, they told us we are wrong. Bad service, bad pizza.

The food was excellent and the service was just as good. A cut or two above the chains but not pretentious with all the checkered table cloths and candles stuffed in used wine bottles. ‘Just better than average pizzas with a caring wait service and enough light to read the menu.

I’m completely confused by the good reviews. This place was terrible. It is a fast food restaurant in a strip mall but wants to charge fine dining prices. First, when you walk in they seat you… And then tell you to get up and go to the counter when you want to order! Like a take out place! Then you go get your own drinks and sit down to wait for your food. We ordered a small fried calamari, a «large» pizza, one beer, and one glass of wine. The grand total? Almost $ 50!!! The calamari was obviously frozen and from a bag. They can say whatever they want about«fresh» ingredients but there is NOWAY that was fresh. It was chewy and tasted of freezer burn. The pizza crust was actually really good, but the toppings let it down. Again, the sausage was those preformed nuggets that come frozen in a bag. Like Domino’s. The«fresh» basil on top was wilted and kinda slimy. The«waitress» was uninterested in her job and seemed put out when I asked for a water glass. I drove all the way from Augusta bc I was so excited to try this place — the commercials make it look amazing. However I was disappointed to find out it was just a shabby strip mall take out place that charges way too much for the food. Will NOT be back. **** Update: check out the response from the owner(?). It speaks to the professionalism and customer service. Also, check out ALL the reviews. For some reason most of the bad ones are«not recommended». He/she replies to all negative criticism the same way. Literally called me a liar and told me next time I need to know what I’m talking about before I write a review. What I KNOW is that it wasn’t good and it was overpriced. Not sure what other education I need to make that observation. Sound like a place you want to visit?

Easily one of the BEST pizzas I have had. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. Can’t wait until my next visit to Aiken to eat there again.

I tried the capricciosa pizza, fried ravioli, and calamari. Nothing special with the pizza and calamari. Fried ravioli was decent though, but not something I would crave for. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Drove out of my way to find this place based on other Unilocal reviews. I got a pizza with Pepperoni, mushrooms, and salami except it had some fancy Italian name. It was excellent. My 16 year old got the pepperoni and sausage. They give you a choice of mild or spicy sausage. The rookie went with mild and tried to pick up his first slice and all the toppings slid off. I had to explain to him it was a different type of pizza then he was used to and might want to use a fork and knife to eat the center part. He really enjoyed it too. Definitely will be back to try more.

What a delicious meal we had! We started off with the Fried Ravioli and the Meatballs in Sauce with cheese and garlic bread. Both were fantastic. I got the Quattro Formaggi Pizza and my husband got the Magherita Pizza with Sausage and Sun Dried Tomatoes. Both were absolutely delicious! For the grand finale, we shared a mini cannoli and my husband got the Cappuccino Truffle and I got the Mango Flute(you even get to keep the glass). Both of these were OUTOFTHISWORLD!!! We cannot wait to go back and try more items from their amazing menu. The wait staff were extremely friendly and very helpful as well; ready to answer any questions you may have. If you’re looking for your typical pizza, this is not the place for you. If your looking for a genuine taste of Italy, then come on down to Apizza Di Napoli and enjoy!!!

I’m so glad this place is within driving distance to Augusta. Joined a friend tonight for dinner and she ordered the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella balls and oh my, I’m so glad she let me try one because they were wonderful. I will be ordering that next time. I ordered the Quattro Formaggi and it was fresh and delicious. I think the next time I come back, I will order the Pomodoro with artichokes again, though. After dinner, I tried Coppa Stratcciatella and it was just what I needed. Nice touch that we got to keep the glass, also! This won’t be my last time and can’t wait to try more on the menu.

If you are looking for true Italian pizza and great ambience, look no farther. APizza De Napoli is off the charts awesome. Me and my wife love the family enviroment, my son loves to watch the pizzas be made. I have used this establishment for business lunches/meetings and it has never failed. Get away from the American Standard of pizza and experience real Italian, you won’t be sorry.

I am never disappointed when I come here. I have not been able to eat any of the chain store«pizza’s» since this place opened a couple years ago. Hands down this is the absolute best pie in Aiken, and the CSRA. The crust are thin and slightly charred on the edges; personally I love the char… one of the perks of being cooked in the wood fired oven. Toppings are not heavy and thick like you would get at your local Pizza Hut, Domino’s, etc., but are just enough to give your pie a great taste with each bite. As Americans we have become too accustomed to having everything supersized and extra large portions… hence the overweight epidemic; DONOTEXPECT that here. We started our meal with the fried ravioli — delish! It comes with a side of marinara and Nola sauce(a homemade hot sauce). If you don’t want one or the other, just let them know when you order. Personally I like both, so I use both. The ravioli comes with a light sprinkling of parmesan cheese as well. We followed up with a New Haven pie with spicy chicken sausage and basil… OHMYGOSH! I absolutely LOVE this. I am also a basil fan so I always ask for extra basil, which they will gladly do if you ask. I’ve read some reviews of people complaining there is not enough basil; guess all I can say about that is that the majority of patrons seem to take it off and toss it, perhaps thinking it’s just a garnish. What a treat you’re missing if you don’t eat the pie with the basil. I’ve always asked for extra and have always been given same. While some complain the pie is «soggy», «wet», etc… guess my research on how authentic Neapolitan pizza should be resulted in a different interpretation than theirs. These pies aren’t being cooked on a conveyor belt or deck oven so what makes you think you would get a crust that comes from being cooked on a conveyor belt or deck oven? I just fold my slice in half and eat; Problem solved! So, the New Haven pie has a fabulous taste that is unlike the other pies; this has become my new favorite. We normally are able to get an appetizer and 1 pie which is plenty for us; often able to take a slice or 2 home. The staff is quick to clear the tables(which is great) and always ask if there is anything we need. Any time we’ve asked for anything additional, they have been great at providing it. The inside is not too bright and not too dark. They’ve made some wonderful changes since day 1 of opening; it’s been great seeing this establishment grow. I love this place!!!

My wife and I wanted to try a local pizza place, so we looked on Unilocal.Apizza Di Napoli was the highest rated local restaurant. This authentic Italian pizza. Don’t expect to find«supreme» or «meat lovers» on this menu. Rather, you will find«apizza pomodoro,» «cappricciosa,» and«pizza del carcerato.» Thin crust. Sauce is less sweet than American-styled pizza. Less cheese. We ordered a margherita pizza with pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, and sun dried tomatoes. Delicious. (PSSST: check in and get a free mini-cannoli)

Very unusual to find this kind of a place in a small town like Aiken. The owner studied the art of the Neapolitan pizza for many years and it shows! Neapolitan pizza is wood-fired with a thin crust and a bit runny on the top. You should eat with a knife and fork. Having been to Italy multiple times, this is pretty authentic. The pizza is very different from what most Americans are used to but you will crave it once you try it. The crust was fantastic! The cheese was great, and the sausage was very flavorful. They had anchovies, which I really like on a pizza. Get basil on whatever pie you order. I wasn’t crazy about the sundried tomatoes. They also should have been diced a little smaller but that’s just my preference. It’s in a Food Lion strip mall and a little out of the way but worth the drive! Stroll over to Hopewell Gardens to burn off the calories when you’re done.

I stopped in here with the hubs and in-laws before heading out of town one night. For this place being here as long as it has been, I had never even heard of it, but for what it’s worth, I do live on the other side of town. We walked in were seated, and then it got a bit confusing. You are seated and handed menus, making us think it was table service, and then we were told to decide what we want and walk to the front counter to place our order and get our drink cups. I’m not a fan of plastic cups, but I digress… We ended up getting a few pizzas, the caprese, and some mini cannolis(yay for Unilocal check in deals!). The pizzas were both VERY good — they are a different style of pizza than what most people are used to, but I promise it is worth it. The caprese was also very good — I can tell the tomatoes were very fresh and the vinaigrette over the dish was superb. I wasn’t a huge fan of the cannolis, but the orange zest inside was a nice touch. The atmosphere left something to be desired. I felt more like I was sitting at Subway than in a restaurant with great pizza. It also took a while to get our checks at the end. The food was great though, which is enough for me to overlook those small things.
