If you go here during the day you should get good service. If you go in the evening… it is beyond bad. I went at 6 p.m. And was the only customer. There were 2 fellows and a gal on duty. They seemed to be having a good time and my presence did not alter the situation. I felt very much like an intruder. I did not feel like a customer. The gal took my order of a classic meatball sub on white bread to go. Amidst much laughter and yelling back and forth a fellow made my sandwich. When I got home and opened the bag it contained what looked like a chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat… not what I had ordered at all. I decided to call and tell the manager which I did… his polite«yes mam — no mam’s» meant little as I could also hear his muffled laughing in the background as I talked. No, I wll NEVER go back there again.

Absolutely the best subs in Aiken period. Service can be slow at times like lunch and dinner, but the food is so delicious that it’s worth the wait. I haven’t had any rude service from any employees. 5 stars!!!

Good food. Terrible service. My husband, my son and I visited Firehouse on Richland last night for dinner. Two employees were behind the counter and one was in the dining area putting some chips on the rack. There was one other customer in the place and he already had his food and was almost done. Not one of the ladies said anything to us. The young lady putting away the chips actually was blocking us from getting to the register. When we finally did get to the register, the young lady there literally just stared at me. I said«hello» to which she finally replied«hi» and continued to stare at me. So I started my order. I had to ask her to repeat every single question because she was so soft spoken. My husband placed his order as well as my son. They actually had to ask her to repeat everything also. They were out of «whole» white bread so they had to «make» a whole for my guys from pieces of half breads. That’s no problem, but I’m not convinced they actually got a «whole» sub. The young lady that made the sub’s was great. She was personable and friendly. However, this is in fact the third time we have received this same standard of service. We will NOT be back. I would rather pay more at Jersey Mike’s and get great consistent service.

I like Firehouse Subs. They have a good menu and are conveniently located for me. They are usually very friendly and the place is clean and well kept. I like that they have a large hot sauce collection for those who want to spice up their subs! The ‘firehouse’ theme is pretty cool too and the fact that they collect donations for burn victims makes eating there more than just about stopping for a sandwich. Given a choice, I’d choose Firehouse over Blimpie’s or Quiznos or even Subway.

Best fast food sub place in the Aiken area, far superior to Subway, Blimpie, Quiznos. There are lots of interesting selections. I love the pastrami, for example. The varied hot sauces are an added attraction. This location is in a strip mall by Walmart, such an area I normally avoid like the plague, but if I want a sub and am in Aiken, this is the place.
