Harvard Wine & Beverage seems to be THE place for all your boozy needs in Aiken, South Carolina. Prices seemed very legit on hard alcohol, certainly cheaper than the Washington State liquor stores I’m used to. Wine selection was without a doubt the best I’ve seen in my short stay here, and priced much better than local grocery stores. I was pleasantly surprised to find many back-vintages of wine, and it occurred to me that this was not because the store was actively seeking them out, but rather that they’ve been sitting on the shelf collecting dust all these years. Who cares about a 1990 Château Tour d’Auron Bordeaux Superieur for $ 22 or a 1993 Remoissenet Pommard-Rugiens Premier Cru for $ 54 when you can get a bottle of sweet, tasty Scuppernong for $ 7? They also carry the usual suspects that I’m sure fly off the shelves: Ecco Domani, Yellow Tail, low-end Chianti, California Cab, you name it. Anyway, I will be returning to this place to pick up a few of the aforementioned deals. Cheers!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Aiken, SC
One of the few one-stop shops for alcohol in Aiken. Has an excellent selection of liquors, liqueurs and wines on the main side; and a great selection of beers on the ‘beer side’.(Don’t ask… lol…it’s a SC thing!) Staff is always friendly and Tasha knows her wines, keep an eye out for her ‘picks’! Lots of parking, great location and very reasonable prices.
