I’ll start by saying my expectations were not high. Stayed here at the last minute, during week of The Masters. Only motel that had an opening. Having said that, will start with the positive. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. And, the pool looked decent even though we didn’t use it. The room. Plain ol’ dirty and rundown. Blankets and carpet had numerous cigarette burn holes which made me wonder if we’d be woken up by the Aiken fire department. Bed sheets, pillow cases and towels worn. Mattress less than comfy. Pillows — I was going to gather some hay to stuff the pillow cases — would’ve been more comfy. Furniture worn. Nice Zenith tube TV which made watching 1980’s reruns all the more realistic. I should’ve brought my Atari 2600. A carpet replacement and new linens would do wonders for this place. Again, my bar was set low, but this didn’t meet my low expectations.

Probably one of the dirtiest seediest motels in Aiken. Has to stay here because all normal bug free motels were occupied for the Masters. The towels were made out of dirty shop rags and the toilet seat was nice and sticky. The bugs volunteered to carry my luggage out for me free of charge. Some of them even decided to come home with me but luckily I saw them trying to sneak into my suitcase. I’m still wondering what the stains on the sheets were and the cigarette smell and burn holes in the carpet were. This place should be condemned. Bonus: front desk guy was friendly and gave us an extra bar of faux soap. This place should come with a free tetanus shot especially at $ 150 per night.

Horribly dirty room, and the carpets and sheets had holes from cigarette burns. There were some holes in the wall(poorly patched) and all of the«appliances» we’re extremely dated. The front desk clerk was nice, and the hotel had a «happy hour» for Masters week as well as somewhat of a continental breakfast. The rate was $ 150, which is understandable as it was the week of the Masters golf tournament in nearby Augusta. The hotel had a very uncomfortable setting, and undesirables wandered about the hotel at all times of the night. It was pet friendly, however, which was a good thing, and it had a «field» towards the back to take the dogs out. The laundry room was filthy and the machines barely worked(there were parts strewn all over the place). The towels the hotel provided — and calling them towels is a stretch — were limited and not adequate enough to dry a cat. I only saw one roach — and it was a nymph. The bathroom was dirty and moldy, and the water temperature was highly variable. I wouldn’t stay here again unless it was a dire circumstance.
