I stopped here on the way from Seattle to Idaho. What a difference Western Washington Taco Times are compaired to Taco Times in Eastern Washington and even Northern Oregon. It’s like two completely separate companies that just happen to use the same name. The ones around the Spokane area seem to be a step down from Seattle area restaurants. The manager at this location was super nice and helpful, but at another Spokane location, the staff barely mustered up enough energy to get my food done. I don’t want to come off being some kind of Taco Time snob, but there is definitely something going on in the quality of the menu items between the Seattle/Tacoma stores and the Spokane/Oregon Taco Times. Anybody out there know why the difference?

When it comes to fast food, Taco time just doesnt seem to fit the bill. It is really good food, and some of the stuff could be classified as fast food, but Taco time is a step up. Most of their stuff is made with good ingredients, and has a fresh taste to it. Their salsa bar is nice, it sure helps me experience Mexican my way. They halve several different types of salsas, premade, and freshly made. I think that is what sells it for me.

There are no Taco Time’s in Sacramento, so I have to get my fix when I am in Spokane. The cherry empanadas are just such a guilty pleasure, I always have to get one.

It’s my favorite fast food Mexican restaurant, though those words shouldn’t really be grouped together in a sentence. I like everything on the menu, tacos, crisp burritos, cherry empanada, and of course their Diet Coke.
