Food was average and service was bad. Our server was a tall girl with extremely pushy attitude. She kept asking us to order wine and dessert and made me feel very uncomfortable. Will not come back.

Great atmosphere & wonderful food. Chicken bruchetta & Ahi Tuns were great. Plus homemade pistachio cake for Valentine’s dessert.

I love going here. I frequent it at least once a week to have a drink at the bar and get dinner. The staff is amazing and incredibly friendly. They always have great specials and I love the wine selection. They have great wild caught salmon and killer lamb chops. You cant do anything but fall in love when you meet their hostess Olympia. Its a fine dining restaurant with that great family feeling.

Worst experience! Went there on a date and the waiter was ver kind!!! The owner was rude and disrespectful! Food was not cooked we sent back came back still not cooked. We waited for 30 minutes then asked for check and owner still made us pay for food that was never eaten!

First time here at 3 point: highlight of my review is «good, not great. The plusses: great location, beautifully appointed interior, world class wine and drink menu, huge martini selection. Service was very good hostess super friendly. Great food selection; the downside: all the food i ordered was average or good not great. Was like getting applebees food at tremont prices. Would never drive 30 min out of the way for here. Crab cake was average too much filling mushroom soup ok and lobster mac might have had an ounch of lobster. I had lobster mac in maine last month and had higher expectations… This had microscopic pieces of lobster in it. With crave and dantes close by, and a tgi friday, not sure i’d return unless i was popping in for a martini after a show or was in the mood for a microwave entrée and didnt feel like nuking it myself.

Went for pick up. Ordered the salmon. Not worth the price. Extremely mediocre. The lemon taste was too much for the rice. Nothing special. No parking. Save your money.

I was visiting home and my mom and I were testing out 4 restaurants around Akron because we were getting my grandparents a variety of gift cards for their 60^th anniversary. We only tried appetizers and drinks at each place and 3 Point was on our list.
Overall it was great! We went on a Monday evening right around 5 and it wasn’t busy at all, so if you like a quiet atmosphere that’s a great time to go. They have a good happy hour deal (half priced martinis on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday half priced wine bottles under $ 40), but we didn’t sit at the bar. We tried the Ahi Tuna appetizer and the Shrimp Bruschetta appetizer both of which were GREAT! They have such interesting choices on their menu — I wish we could’ve stayed for an entrée too! The sauce on the tuna was fantastic.
I tried the Italian Surfer with an Attitude martini (Amaretto, vodka, Malibu coconut rum, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and grenadine) which I felt a tad silly saying while ordering but it tasted really great. It wasn’t too strong but it was definitely sweet, so if you don’t like sweet drinks with your food obviously don’t order it.
The place was a bit hot and the building was older so I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it (no air conditioning?) but it also could’ve just been a hotter day.
Overall I definitely recommend!

Went once before and it was great — this time got server Julie who was terrible — couldn’t remember drink order and got my steak order wrong — sent it back and it still wasn’t right– did she care — heck no! Just gave me an aww– at 33 bucks that won’t cut it. Asked for mgr who couldn’t be bothered to come out and say a word — thanks for nothing– but I won’t ever go back — thanks for ruining my birthday

I travel a lot for work so upon returning from my last trip, I promised to take my girlfriend out in a nice dinner date. I checked Unilocal and read the reviews for 3 Point and found them all to be pretty encouraging. So last night, we decided to check it out and we were surely not disappointed!
I’ll start with the drink menu. The specialty martini list looks awesome. My girlfriend had a blueberry pomegranate martini that she loved. I’m not one to get a martini, but the list, and her drink, were even appealing to me. I gladly chose and was delighted with a Labrador Lager from Thirsty Dog.
To start our meal, we ordered the half rack of Mediterranean Lamb. Wonderful! Cooked to perfection and very well seasoned with a fall-​off-​the-​bone texture. As for our main course, my lady got the porcini and truffle stuffed ravioli. She loved it. I also enjoyed what little tastes she let me have. I ordered the chicken parm and to my surprise, it came with not one giant chicken breast, but two! It was juicy and tender, totally satisfying. Although neither of us actually finished our dinners (both of which tasted great the next day), we caved in to the entirely homemade dessert tray offered to us by our wonderful server. We settled on a peanut butter cup like cheesecake that was actually very smooth and creamy.
I can honestly say that I’ve never been to a restaurant where I’ve wanted to try everything on the menu, until now. My girlfriend has decided she wants to try every martini (nearly 15) and I’d like to try every food item. Wonderful place, awesome food, great service. We will certainly be back!

The service was great and the food is the best in Downtown Akron. I ordered the duck and it was the best I’ve ever had.

Drat, the train to flavor town left before we got there. Everything was cooked perfectly but not a thing had a bit of flavor. The steak was a good rare but we paid an up charge for a side of asparagus. And it was just that asparagus, steamed with nothing on it, nothing. No worries though, every single dirty plate was left on our tables from appetizers and bread so we doctored the asparagus up with some assortments left on the table. I’m also a pasta fanatic. The carbonara was so bland that I had them box it up and I took it home to give it some flavor later. The only reason this wasn’t a complete disappointment was the drinks, yummm Popsicle martini, and dessert.

I am a French student, I did an internship at 3 POINT RESTAURANT with a friend for 2 months (May — July 2014). We were well welcomed by 3 POINT’s Team ! We loved all the foods, Pastas, I remember, I used to take 3 Point Burger and French fries all the time ans of course, Olympia’s deserts. The service and the bartenders were very kind, and attentive. The reception was very pleasant, the owners, Domenic and Chad were so nice, I keep a good memories about this place, the best place ever in Akron to eat! I will come back and eat at 3 Point. We stopped in here for drinks after our wedding photography session in the neighboring ally and the bartender was super sweet. She picked up our tab for hubby and I, plus our two photographers, saying it was her gift to us for our wedding. So sweet.

Found this place via Unilocal.Was in search of nice place for lunch between meetings. The service was excellent. Had the crab cake burger. It was tasty without having loads of filler. Got mixed veggies on side/​/​different squashes, peppers & onions. I would absolutely come back.

Great food, great dining experience, great drinks and great staff! The fish tacos are wonderful. This is a great place to enjoy dinner and a drink at a classy location in downtown Akron.

The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was perfect. We will definitely return.

We had lunch on Dec. 30^th and it was delicious. I had the salad with the mini lamb chops and my husband had Ahi Tuna salad and my niece had the fish tacos. We also tried the wild mushroom soup. Everything was delicious and plates were clean.
The waitress was very attentive & pleasant.
Looking forward to going again soon.
Would recommend this place without hesitation.

Mush… room…soup. Holy crap was it good. I could have just had three bowls of that for dinner. Not really what you would expect from cream of mushroom, as the wild mushrooms were diced finely but the flavor was unreal. My wife hates mushrooms and she couldn’t stop stealing from me. Honestly one of the best soups I’ve had.
My lamb shank was pretty good too — large portion and a solid parm risotto complemented nicely. You certainly only needed a fork to cut it — super tender. Everything else I tried was just ok, nothing worth discussing.
Ambiance is nice, they have a cool horseshoe bar, and the wait staff did a nice job for us even though they were quite busy.
But seriously — get the mushroom soup for god’s sake.

Best Groupon I’ve ever purchased. Get the Mediterranean Lamb Chops, you won’t be disappointed! The pork chops were also good, a little dry, but definitely a large portion. I will be back.

I made reservations for a Friday evening and had a fabulous experience! The fella’ and I started with the fish taco appetizer — which comes with two tacos (perfect for a couple) and they were an oh-​so-​flavorful and a wonderful start to the meal. Seriously, we were both RAVING about them!
The 3 Point Salad was AWESOME and a good salad is definitely one of my favorite things. Greens with white french dressing, pear and blue cheese with freshly crushed black pepper… Mmm.
For my entrée I selected the pork chops with parmesan risotto, unbelievably awesome, cooked at medium (as recommended). This made for some EPIC leftovers the next day!
To summarize my experience, I think this place has a solid handle on their «Signature» selections and I’d probably trust anything they advertise as such. Service was attentive and with the Groupon deal we used, the meal was incredibly reasonable — definitely snatch one up if they ever run that special again!
I will definitely return to 3 Point in the future, perhaps before a showing at the Nightlight Cinema or after a trip to the lovely Akron Art Museum!
