Akron General Breast Center

I was a patient here in October. My water broke early and i had to be on bed rest until the baby decided to come. I stayed here for a total of 31 days. The from the doctors, nurses, dietary to the cleaning people; everyone here was on it when it came to caring for me. They made me look at hospitals in a totally different way. Their bed side manner was professional, friendly and compassionate. I could not say more about this place. I would recommend it to anyone. They practically save my babies life. If I could I would give them the max of max stars.

I visited a friend today at General who just had a baby. I was overwhelmed by how friendly each and every member of the staff that I encountered was! From a doctor in the hallway, a nurse, a receptionist, a cashier at the cafeteria and more they all blew me away! My son was born at this hospital ten years ago and I remember it being a good experience then but WOW! They are doing something awesome and I don’t know what it is but you don’t see that kind of friendliness anywhere else these days! I never write reviews but these folks need to be congratulated for the culture they have developed. And a special thanks to the cashier who held the door open at the cafeteria after they closed and insisted we where welcome to come in and eat! She also took the time to serve us herself as the other staff members closed up for the night. I think almost every staff member I walked by offered me help or at lest smiled at me. Any company would do well to use this hospital as an example of how customer service is done right!

the worst experience ever! some nurses are good but the group doesnt talk to each other. ie icu, emergency, rehab, standard floor. if we did not keep constant vigilance and advocacy i would hate to see what would have happened. i would not recommend akron general to anyone!!!
