Great little store! Good for supplements and real food snacks, in particular(not so much produce or ingredients; hence the 4 stars – go to Hartz’s in Morgantown or Miller’s in Bird in Hand for that). I found some grassfed uncured beef sticks with good ingredients, delish seasoned sprouted almonds, organic lollipops dyed with beets & carrots, etc., some huge bakery-style gluten free cookies, and an organic face cleanser. I order many of my organic/natural products online and read and research thoroughly, so it’s not often that I see healthy brands that are completely new to me. I disagree with the reviewer who said this place has«the usual” – for discerning shoppers who search high and low to find rare, hard-to-find items, this store has products you haven’t seen before.

I shop here all the time and I’ve NEVER had a salesperson follow me around. I don’t remember anyone being creepy, either. When I asked questions about a particular diet I was on, the owner took the time to speak with me for quite a while about it. He also introduced me to his wife, who is a nutritionist, and gave me several brochures on products I might like, without pushing me to buy anything. They had a seminar for Larenim cosmetics, which I really enjoyed. I would recommend this store to anyone.

Dont let the exterior fool you, its a nice store inside. Its an old schoolhouse located just before the light in Akron and theyve got the usual health foods and specialty items, teas, vegetarian food, vitamins, you know, the usual. Most can be found at other stores, some of which cant. At least not the local ones like Rhubarbs. Then again, Rhubarbs has stuff Akron doesnt have, so its a trade off I guess. Anyway, its got fair prices and friendly service. Credit cards accepted.
