Went in for early afternoon lunch on Sunday. Place was nearly empty, but service was still slow. Got jammed in a too-small 4-top right beside two other customers. We asked for a table instead of a booth, and this appeared to clearly irritate the person seating us. Never got offered refills on empty glasses. Food was average for average price. Got the chicken parmesan… meat was tough and chewy, and the cheese was fibrous. I might go back, but I’ll have to think about it first.

I came in there with my family hoping for a wonderful experience. I was wrong. The food was cold and our waiter had probably 10 or more tables. I’ve been a server myself and yes, that’s good for«making money» but if you can’t handle it, don’t give him all those tables. Maybe they were short staffed? There were other servers walking around doing nothing but laughing and flirting with each other. It was obvious that our waiter was flustered and could have given away a table or 2. We almost got up and went to the bar, but it was extremely busy and we couldn’t find a spot for all of us to sit. We wont be back.

I had a bad experience with D’Agnese’s a few months ago but I decided to give them another shot and I’m glad I did. The food is phenomenal. The portion size is roughly double of what you get at Olive Garden and everything is so fresh and authentic. Fine ingredients and a great selection of wines really makes this place one of a kind. If you want a night of romance, the atmosphere is perfect!

Had a wonderful Italian meal here with my family last week. Décor is nothing special, strip mall type vibe. Menu is typical of a neighborhood Italian American style. I have extremely high standards for this type of food, being of Italian descent and from Buffalo, the Italian American food capital of the world. D’Agnese is excellent! My veal saltimboca was excellent, tender, perfectly cooked, well accompanied. Wife and daughter s also very much enjoyed their meal. Pasta side seemed more like boxed than homemade, but the marinara sauce was excellent. Simple, garden fresh, perfect. Service was also very good. Wine list isn’t very extensive but we found a good selection. Great place.

My daughter surprised me with a to go order of this delicious dish. OMG– besides looking pretty as a picture, The taste of this dish took me «over the ‘rainbow’! When you read this review you need to trust me, you will not be disappointed. D’Agnese is a gem and the community needs to support it. And I vote for the chef to get a raise! Don’t let the Chef get away.

You’ll enjoy selecting from the relatively extensive menu of high quality well prepared Italian and domestic dishes. The wine list is quite extensive. The tables are covered with real cloth and the service is of high quality. Try the eggplant parmesan it’s the best in Akron. Your tasty hard crusted bread will be served with a garlic, olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. Make sure you call for reservations as this excellent restaurant is usually booked on weekends.

I’ve been here many times in the past few years. One of my biggest rules for judging a place is consistency. Also when you live locally and just«know» that you’ll get a reasonably priced meal every time is a great thing. The place has an upperscale feel to it but it isn’t stuffy. You can choose the dining side, bar area, or during the summer the patio. The menu is expansive enough you can get about whatever variety of Italian food you like… pizza, pastas, soups, salads, protiens, vegetarian. I really like the apps of the pork wings and the arrancinis. Crab cakes are very good as well. Chicken parm is the best in Akron. My kids love the pizzas. Great cheesecakes. Highly recommended overall by my family.

Not all that great. Had the D’Agnese chicken with linguini olive oil and garlic. My girlfriend had linguini with meat sauce and a salad. My linguini was room temperature and you could tell the chicken had been sitting under heat lamps. My girlfriends salad was nothing special and her linguini was just warm enough to eat. Overall not a very tasty meal and to top it off it had sat around and got to room temperature or slightly above.

Lovely place for a date night, albeit a little cliché, but certainly romantic and the food is quite good. The inside is formal, not stuffy but definitely a classier place. Service was great, we didn’t feel rushed or over waited on while we were there. They offer a seasonal drink menu, we ended up trying 4 of them and they were all really good and unique. The calamari appetizer was probably the highlight– crispy, light breading, not too oily, not too chewy. We ended up polishing off the whole plate! The entrees run about $ 15-$ 22/plate, but the portion sizes are generous. We had a steak dish and a pasta dish and both did not disappoint. Overall I see myself coming back here, probably not super often due to the price, but good to keep in mind for future date nights or drinks with girlfriends.

Love this gem in a tucked away location. My English teacher recommended this place and I can see why this place is one of his favorites. Great food, great service at affordable prices. The chicken parm was excellent. Best wedding soup. Steak salad was a winner as well.

This time the calamari seemed authentic – and good. I ordered the«buffalo» calamari – it was very tasty, if a bit greasy. Almost as good as the buffalo calamari at Abalonetti in Monterey, CA – where I think the concept originated. D’Agneses includes some crumbled bleu cheese and a few greens, which are nice touches. The roasted beet salad was excellent. A large for $ 8.50 is a pretty good deal. Organic beets, arugula, candied walnuts and gorgonzola, tossed with balsamic vinaigrette and garnished with a fig balsamic reduction. The slightly bitter greens and slightly sweet beets and fig balsamic reduction are a great combo.

Fantastic service and great food. We got the specials, an appetizer and a bottle of wine though so it was a bit pricey. $ 120 for 2 people. It can be more reasonable if you don’t splurge though. Recommend. Salmon and a chicken pasta dish and mussels.

Close to home, perfect Italian restaurant with exceptional dishes from appetizers to dessert. Typically when we stop in for dinner we will sit in the bar, which has tvs and a relaxed setting. Recently though since our party was bigger we sat in the dining room. Our service has always been great, our entrees delicious — thus as I’d say they are consistently consistent and they happen to have some unique beers on tap. For a little local restaurant, tucked off the highway in an area where it pretty much stands alone they often do special events that I think are nice for the locals. For instance a paint and wine night, wine or beer sampling dinner, etc. While my husband gets usually veal or something with sausage and peppers I’m typically trying s special — what can’t I get anywhere else or make easily. On a recent trip(I had 2 in one week) I had the monkfish which was superb. The wine selection could probably be a bit better when you provide by the glass options but i think that’s really anywhere. So my suggestion is just to buy a bottle and cork and go(if you read my other reviews you’ll notice I tend to always buy the bottle). If you do sit in the dining room and it’s winter I suggest sitting towards the back or middle of the restaurant as the front can be a bit drafty. Thanks for being consistently consistent!

Love, love, love it here! My family has celebrated birthdays here and I eat lunch here often. The décor is masculine and upscale which reminds me of a romantic Saturday evening excursion even at 11:00AM on a weekday! The wine list is exceptional with nice glass selections. The bread is classic Italian — chewy inside, crusty crunchy outside — served warm with«softened» butter and a balsamic olive oil/roasted garlic sauce. I’ve had several sandwiches here, and pasta, and pizzas… they have all been fabulous. The waitstaff also goes out of their way to ensure diners enjoy their experience. Although I haven’t had the desserts they look yummy displayed in the bakery case near the front door. I’ve been wanting to come in and take a painting class with my girlfriends in the lounge while having drinks! This happens on a regular basis here and looks like fun. This is a great restaurant!

Extended family«celebratory» dinner tonight with grandparents and kids on a Sunday night. Got greeted at the door and seated. Ordered the only Barolo on the wine list(2006). Waiter came back and said they were all out. But had a 2008 at the same $ 80 price point. Ok — big difference in the two years. Asked him if that shifted the price point. No — he says. Ok. Pour it. Finished dinner which was decent. Walked out of the restaurant past the wine case and there was the 2006 Barolo in the case. WTF. Want to order wine? Check the case before you do. Soured the experience. Will never come back.

Food: My saltimbocca chicken was fantastic. The mushrooms were like little explosions of flavor. Not a huge fan of the calamari –it was a little tough. The noodles were very difficult to get on your fork. Service: The service was average. Our waiter was absent through most of the dinner. Price: A little too expensive. One of the dishes we ordered was $ 14 without a meat included dup after adding chicken it was an $ 18 dish… not worth the money. Overall: Pretty good. I’ll return.
