Ok so the food truly isn’t bad. Service is absolutely HORRIBLE. I don’t understand how you run a business on the portage lakes, in the summer, and have such a miserable staff. Such a sad waste of awesome space. If you don’t care that you are there for 3 hours for a beer and a salad enjoy. If not you’re screwed. Dietz management wtf is wrong with you.

Stopped here for dinner. sat for an hour. server came over and said they lost ticket. We did get our very overcooked mozzarella moons that had no mozzarella in them. When spoke to mgr. The mgr said «ohh» shurgged her shoulders and walked away. Id recommed eating ANYWHERE else on portage lakes than here. I now see why other places on plx are booming and this place is not.

Not somewhere you want to eat if you’re in a hurry, the food was really good. First time eating here.

The service was the worst I have ever had. I was there for 2 hours and was waiting for my food for most if it. The drinks were nothing special but the food was good but not worth the wait. Will never be going back. I’ll wait for a seat at On tap at the harbor next time!

I rarely write reviews and always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. BUT my last experience a couple days ago still has me fuming. We went there to have a couple drinks. Should be pretty simple. Here is this young kid who clearly has never bartended drizzling Seagrams into the plastic cup, then holds it up to see how much is in it, drizzled some more, holds it up to the light again. I know my drinks and there was probably a half ounce of liquor, the rest was seven up. This went on and on. Service was horrible. My husband and I were shaking our heads. Another bartender couldn’t find anything for drinks she was making. It’s a joke. Lesson here is stay home or go next door to the upper deck which was packed while this place had a total of 8 people. Now I know why. If I wanted to drink seven up, I’d stay at home. Prime piece of real estate on the lakes and if you can’t pack this place it’s for a very good reason.

Awesome burger and sweet potato fries. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is fun.

This is an «ok» place to go if you’re out cruising the lakes and want to stop for a bite to eat, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to have dinner (or lunch) here. I ordered the western burger, which was just ok. The burger itself lacked flavor. The queso sticks were really good and the service was great too with upbeat, energetic staff. I think what turned me off the most was catching a glimpse of the carpeting on the stairs… it was absolutely filthy and just needs to be replaced as it’s beyond cleaning. A dirty carpet where everyone can see just makes me wonder about the cleanliness of other areas of the restaurant that the general public CAN’T see.

Awesome place, fun bartenders, good music, and great food! Last night was their mussels and clams special– so delicious!!!

Food and service is awful. The only reason to be here is for a beverage on the outdoor deck.

The food and place was disgusting. The lady at the table next to us ordered a chicken salad and her piece of chicken was raw inside. We ordered burgers medium that were burnt and disgusting. There was a completely intoxicated man that was going around to tables being annoying and even going up to children. He should have been asked to leave. Will not return.

Food is good atmosphere is good with 1 exception. The new owner sits in the bar staring everyone down. He acts like he is pissed and angry. Wears sweatpants and a crappy shirt… sad very sad. He should be proud of what he has and work the crowd and above all be friendly.

Excellent Chicken Caesar Wrap with Sweet Potato fries and beautiful view! Will be back soon!

Day bartender didn’t know three for three beers we ordered from their beer list. She couldn’t find them and didn’t know what they were. She walked away while we were ordering, and didn’t even know they had a certain soup on special that day. She yelled across the bar to attempt taking our order. She just wasn’t bartender quality. :(the evening girl who replaced her was friendly– we didn’t order anything else from her though. We had clams and beer cheese soup, both were very good. Food, yum. Day bartender– yuck.

Stopped by for a sandwich. Took forever to get served. Food was great. Had to hunt the waitress to pay the bill. Not sure if this joint is under new management or what?! I have eaten there several times this past summer and had MUCH better service than I experienced today.

I went with a friend on a Saturday afternoon in September. We sat on the patio by the lake, the view was great. We waited 15 minutes for a server to bring menus and offer us drinks (they weren’t busy). We each ordered a burger and some mussels. The burgers arrived before the mussel appetizer. We had to ask the waitress for napkins. And utensils to eat the mussels with. And for refills on our drinks. For $ 9 the burger was pathetic and small. The service was slow and poor. The food was OK. The view was great. The prices were high.

Great service, steak sandwich and Santa Fe chicken salad both good. Tremendous atmosphere.

My wife and I finally returned to this place after too many years. Food was pricy, but the food was well worth it! We both had the perch. I can only say it was excellent. Our waitress was very good and attentive. Will we be back? Most definitly!

Overpriced terrible food. Takes forever for food to come out. I ordered what i thought was a steak sandwich, it came out as a cold steak wrap. I still dont know what else was in it besides the steak. I think the steak was a week old steak that one of the chefs brought in from home and cut up into pieces. But its ok, they serve it with potato chips. 13 $ at that. I’m trying to figure out how this place stays in business.

The Sunday brunch is to die for. Amazing omlets.
Starting at lunchtime, the prices quadruple and I’m left feeling as though its quite a bit overpriced. 11 dollars for six «jumbo» fried shrimp that came from planet Sysco is unacceptable, even though the spicy dipping chili sauce that comes with it is made in heaven. Lunch and dinner food is unremarkable, good, if it weren’t overpriced.
If there are mediocre waitresses here, I haven’t met them. There are 3 excellent ones and 2 of the dumbest bimbos I’ve ever seen.

Ok for the boat dock, and decent eats.
Certainly not going to win a James Beard culinary award anytime soon, but for a restaurant/​bar on the Portage lakes this is a-​Ok.
The scene was, well, interesting; at lunch our table was the only ones that were under-​70 years old. The place was half full/​half empty. There’s a giant mirrored wall to give a larger than life feel to the place.
They’re good for take away for the maritime customers, typical greasy bar menu.
Restrooms were clean, parking spots were tight. Next door there’s a pontoon boat rental.
Great place for people watching on the Portage Lakes, a little slice of Redneck Riviera just south of downtown Akron.
