Really about 2.5 stars. Inside was a little frumpy and could have been cleaner, but the service was prompt and friendly. Food was ok, nothing really noteworthy. Their walnut chicken was pretty good as were their crab rangoon. I’d pass on everything else though.

Its OK. The selection is good, but during slow times th food sits out and dries out. Most items claiming to be crab are really imitation crab. The price is reasonable for the selection, but there are better buffets in the area. Selection includes a salad bar with typical cold selections, a generous selection of hot items including bacon wrapped«crab»(fake crab), wontons, dumplings, fried chicken, spring rolls, egg rolls, fried shrimp, «crab» Rangoon, mozzarella sticks, stuffed mushrooms, bourbon chicken, honey glazed chicken, and a complete dessert bar. The majority of the food is from frozen and not made at this location.

Listen to that little voice in your head and keep on moving…

I didn’t listen to that little voice inside my head,(no it wasn’t the dog talking and my name isn’t Sam), it was the voice that said, «Confucious say«Empty parking lot at lunch hour does not bode well for the hapless diner.» This is also the first time I’ve dined somewhere that was named after that family that drove on by and stopped elsewhere for lunch! We stopped here at about 1:15 on a weekday. Everything about the place is modest. For a Chinese eatery, the décor is quite modest, there are a modest number of booths, a very modest number of entrees, a modest number of proteins,(basically chicken, NO beef, and a VERY modest amount of surimi, modest pricing, a modest number of starches,(there was NORICE, yes children NORICE and yes it IS a Chinese buffet!) WTF??? And a VERY modest effort made to keep the buffet hot!!! There were three buffet stations two of which had«hot» items and one of which had«cold» items, there was no fire from below to keep«hot» items warm and the same paltry three non-heat-lamp light bulbs per buffet station were on all three stations. Based on the room-temperature or lower status of the«hot» items one understood why the lights weren’t cooking the watermelon slices etc at the«cold» station. I do not exaggerate regarding the entrée temperatures, on my second trip up I got a taste of each on a quest to find something the temperature of which didn’t belie that fact that it was once cooked. Not a one even hit«tepid» on the temperature scale! Did they refrigerate yesterday’s leftovers and inadequately reheat them today? Dunno! The ONLY item refreshed while we were there were the lo mein noodles, which as their sole starch offering were one’s only hope to heat up one’s meal. The sad thing was that the food wasn’t bad food, Mr. Happy, I know Sterno ain’t cheap, nor are electric heating elements cheap to run, but for Gawd’s sake, at least buy a damn microwave and stick one at the end of each buffet station so your clients can nuke their way to «edible!» Or at the very least offer menu-ordering for those who have been once bitten, having dined here before, and are now twice shy! It takes a lot for me to spit out my first bite of a spring roll, but when one’s palate is greeted by cold, cloyingly oily nastiness, you’d best be a duckin’, ’cause the spring roll’s a chuckin’!

While the cost is impressive, the food is just mediocre and nothing special. The environment is pleasant and relaxing though. Recently after ordering carry-out however, I had a scary experience. Shortly after beginning to enjoy my meal, I felt something oddly hard and discovered it was a portion of an oyster in my Non-seafood related meal. In conclusion, there are many better Asian food selections in the city and I won’t be visiting this one anymore willingly.

We stopped in here for lunch while passing through and was happily satisfied by the hot foods and large variety. For $ 5.95/person for lunch, you can’t beat the value at this buffet. Our server was friendly and very efficient in clearing our plates. They had quite a large variety of salads, fresh fruit, entrée dishes, fried foods, sushi, soups, and desert items. The most important thing was that their food was hot and did look like dry. It should be noted that we did go in around 1:15pm during lunch hours and they kitchen staff kept the buffet filled. This place looked cleaned and I had no complaints overall. I would definitely stop in again if given the opportunity.

I ate here a lot when I was remodeling my kitchen. Friendly staff. Very good Chinese food for a buffet. Some of my favorites are they Garlic green beans, and their sushi.
