David and I have eaten here twice. Both times the food and service has been excellent. The Owner and his son(co-owner) have been there both times and are very personable. There is ample seating so we only had to wait once(5 mins or so). The wait staff is friendly and they keep your coffee full. We have been impressed with the food each time we go. The eggs are cooked expertly. This is definitely our NEW breakfast spot. Even though it is 30 minutes from our home. Great job guys!

Our first time to this café was a few months ago… but I have to say that I was very impressed! We were greeted immediately upon entering and it was busy busy busy! We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated then upon being sat the lady got our drinks and said that our waitress would be right with us… and she literally was! Very prompt! We explained that we were newbies to the place and that we were referred by friends to go there… and the waitress we had was amazing! She guided us through the menu on what we like whether it be spicey or not, sweet or sour, etc etc… she hit the nail right on the head to speak! Amazing appetizer to start out with, followed by some awesome burgers with fries, and then onto dessert that we passed on not because they weren’t intriguing but just by the fact we were so full! Awesome job! I’m not sure of her name but our waitress had beautiful art(tattoos). She was amazing!

The food is very good, but the service is exceptional! All of the servers are friendly and attentive not just to their table, but to other tables as well. There were several regulars eating there and you could tell they enjoyed dining here. We live about 40 min away, but will definitely return when we have a day off.

Food was delicious and serve was very helpful. Salads were great and their special dressing is my mom’s favorite. Very clean, easy to park. Just wish they were open later. :)

Stopped for a quick breakfast on my way to a job. Sat at the counter since I was by myself. Waitress quickly offered me a beverage and took my order for two eggs over medium and wheat toast. There were several people there, and two televisions to watch morning news. My breakfast was quite good. Didn’t realize there was an early bird special before 8AM, so was really pleased with the price. Felt like a big tip was appropriate. The place was super clean, and didn’t have the greasy diner smell that turns me off. Friendly staff and customers. I’ve heard their other breakfast and lunch offerings are super, so I’ll have to return when I have a little more time!

Everything was top notch! This restaurant is exceptionally clean and well run. We came on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately. Soon after a line formed and remained during our meal. This place is very busy, and for good reason. You can get anything on the menu at anytime. The food is outstanding, and the service good, there was a bit of a wait on the food, but again this place is very busy. Reasonable prices, huge portions, real cooking(I didn’t notice any frozen food, everything was fresh). This was our first visit and we will return again soon. We left full and happy.

The two star rating is largely because of the terrible corned beef hash. When I looked at the menu I was torn between the corned beef hash and an omelette. I went with the hash because I wanted to see how it compared to Blue Door Café’s(amazing btw). The Honeymoon Grille’s was the exact opposite. On a scale from 1 to 10, the Honeymoon Grille’s was a 1, compare to BDC being a 10. HG’s looked and tasted disgusting. I won’t go into to detail about what I think it looked like, but it was not aesthetically pleasing, nor did it taste good at all. The toast and scrambled eggs were average, nothing great nor terrible. The only reason I give it a two star is because the guy serving the coffee and ringing us out was very friendly and nice. Overall, the place was clean and looked like a winner, but stay away from the corned beef hash(see picture). I anticipate that I may get a response to this post, but all I’m asking is to either change how you make that, or take it off the menu. I may try this place again and get something else, but it will probably be a little while before I do.

Great croissants and home fries. I usually stick with breakfast types of food when I order. Whenever I come home from school I try to make it to Honeymoon Grille!

The Honeymoon Grille was just average. We had pancakes and French toast with sausage. They were OK, but nothing worth going back for. The service was prompt and friendly and the place was clean. The only real bad part there was the propaganda feed on the wall TV from Fox News.

There may be a wait for a table, but it is more than worth it. EXCELLENT breakfast. Way too any choices! Just more reason to come back.

Here’s a burger review: whoa, that’s a good burger. As for the rest: And good fries, and decent service, and accommodated us quickly. What more can you ask for?

I typically save my 5-star reviews for restaurants that defy expectations, then bend over those expectations and give them a brutal pounding. Or, if you believe South Park, I give 5-star reviews for restaurants that give free food for 5-star reviews. Honeymoon Grille is deserving of one of those reviews. Free food, please? I came here with my grandma — she would also like free food for this review, too. She and I were here after a night of doing crazy things like watching Ice Road Truckers and eating Pringles. We both got the same thing, except I asked for sausage gravy on my hash browns. The food was absolutely amazing. It was very inexpensive too. It was a while ago, so I wish I could get better detail about my visit. I do remember the service being amazing, though. Free food, please? The server answered our every question and served us as if she knew I was a semi-famous Unilocaler. I’m definitely coming back when I’m in town.

M– This place is worth the drive from the expressway into the lakes holler. The restaurant was clean and the food was above average. The coffee needs an upgrade the days of endless mud doesn’t compare with a really fresh brew. Most consumers are willing to pay by the cup if the coffee is pressed. Dam is still on the hunt for the exceptional. D. I ordered my usual. 2 eggs over very easy, hash browns, sausage pattie, rye toast, $ 6.99. They call it the Honeymoon. Eggs were over done a bit, the hash browns where real potatoes(not frozen Ore ida from a bag) and where cook good with some crisp parts but still lacking. Like I said before… Just a little onion could accomplish a lot. The sausage had flavor. Portion was generous. The menu was interesting. Much more to choose from and different. I could tell the owner did some homework and came up with something above average. Just don’t take Starbucks or Dunkin donuts coffee in with you. He is serious about his coffee. It’s not a coffee shop. Is a restaurant and for a Bunn brewed coffee it was good.

I really wanted to like it more. Nothing really bad but not great. Toast was mushy. Coffee ok. Service was very good.

typical greasy spoon Middle America diner food. don’t understand what the fuss is about. Servers are friendly, environment is clean and pleasant enough, food seems like breakfast standards one could find in any diner, in small-town Iowa or Missouri or anywhere in Murica. Prices are reasonable, plenty of food.

A nice upscale grille with SRO from9to10a and1130to1p. order carryout to offset this, if possible. weekends are fun. remember, peak times, plan at least 1 hr. everything is recommended by me. use the belly points for great deals. I have been there almost everyday(why cook) Fun staff, hard workers, good food, and I may be there greeting you!

«THEYGETIT» They get the fact that service is everything in the breakfast food market, I do not see how you can mess up breakfast food, it is all about the presentation and the service. The servers(appear to) all share tips, so your coffee cup never goes empty and they are all nice and a team driven business. Constant attention is given to you while you are there. The place was even busy when we were there with a full house and the service was still awesome. There are a lot of food options and the portions are big, so be prepared to get stuffed. Great place for breakfast and worth traveling to.

This place was recommended to me by a close friend. Couldn’t wait to give it a try. We were able to sit at the bar and we quickly ordered the 2 easiest things on the menu to make. Waited 45 minutes. Still no food. Was told there was a huge to go order and that’s why we didn’t have our food yet, even though people that came in after us were eating. The server just neglected to put our order in. It happens. I’m sure the food is good and it was just a fluke, but it was a really bad first experience. Needless to say, we paid for our coffees and left.

This place is pretty good. Came here with a friend who wanted to get some breakfast before work. It was this place vs another and I chose this place as the menu looked less«commercial». The place is pretty clean and nice. Looks like it was just remodeled. It wasn’t in my stomping grounds so I have no knowledge of how long it’s been here or what was here before. The price is pretty cheap and the portions are amazing. My friend and I both ordered the Yetti but she got french toast instead of pancakes, which I did. The french toast was HUGE compared to most places. The food is also a excellent. Doesn’t seem like it’s prepackages and proportioned like most places. It felt very home cooked. I really have no complaints but my pancakes where a bit salty and as mentioned in another comment, it’s like they didn’t clean the grill good enough after cooking bacon on it. The bacon isn’t that precooked stuff like most places like subway serves. You get big full slices. I opted for the ham and it was good. No real complaints about it at all. If I could wake up every morning to come here, I would. Too bad I like sleeping in.
