I purchased a Groupon for microdermabrasion. This was my sixth time receiving this procedure so I think it’s safe to say, I knew what to expect. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was kind and I was able to get an appointment faster than I expected. Upon arriving, the office is beautiful but I had to wait 20 minutes beyond my appointment time. First they took a number of pictures of my skin which showed acne scarring and sun damage. Then, while she treated another client, I had to sit and watch a video about some product that I had no interest in. She returned and I signed paperwork and she began the microdermabrasion. I have to be clear that this is nothing like receiving the procedure at a spa. She was anything but gentle and my face still stings 14 hours later, something that has never occurred following the procedure in the past. Afterwards the cream she applied to my face burned horribly and I couldn’t wait to wash it off.
I eagerly look forward to receiving another microdermabrasion in the future but it definitely won’t be done here; I’ll be returning to a spa! Ouch!
