Mooney’s Sports Bar and Grill – Akron

Have been to Military Rd. location before. Nice but crowded, good for business not a complaint. We live in Clarence so decided to try the new Main St. location (the old Braun’s). We liked the fact it was not crowded went Sat. 8−9p sat at the bar, ordered a pitcher of beer. Kayla was our bar tender and server couldn’t have been nicer, very sweet and attentive we then proceeded to order… The stuffed peppers were to die for, big banana peppers loaded with delicious stuffing and just right grilled toast points, could have been a little spicier for me but very good.
The fried coconut shrimp were big and not over cooked, tender and the raspberry sauce was just right. Could have been more coconut for me?
Finally the chicken wings came out OMG plump baby’s ordered the Thai Bourbon Sauce, loved the crisp carrot strips and generous tasty blue cheese.
Great bar food, great service, tasty and generous servings. We look forward to coming back!
The only cons were; sticky menus at bar, use them once and throw them out. Music from the kitchen was different than at the bar, some conflict to the ears. We were sitting near the kitchen door but… keep it the same. All in all Kudos to Mooney’s Akron! Did I mention big pitcher of craft beer great service and great value for the money. Happy Camper.

Dunno, been here for takeout twice and its been good to us. Not the best Reuben, Steak and cheese sub, or Greek salad (souvlaki salad) but far from the worst. Space looks nice, especially of you get the booths. Bar, cutie servers… It’s my go to when I come to town. When I bring the family, we plan on eating here.

LIARS !!! The macaroni and cheese absolutely SUCKED !!! It was the absoult worst macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. The burgers were awful too. Everything overpriced. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!
