Food is pretty good here. They have a great variety on the menu so it can be easy to be torn. I recommend calling in advance to order since they are always pretty busy.

Not somewhere I’d ‘eat in’ but I highly recommend it for take out, food is delicious.

Good, quick American Chinese food. We have ordered takeout 3 or 4 times now and enjoyed everything we’ve had. They are very kind and the food is reasonably priced. Nothing special about it, similar to most Chinese takeout places, but we will definitely keep going back!

We got a chicken lo mein. They were very customer friendly. However the food was not great. It was not spicy and had too much cabbage and all the chicken piled on top of the noodles. And it was very greasy as well, gotta try sowmthing besides lo mein.

Love it here! Best egg rolls and fried dumplings in the area. Quick and delicious. We get it at least a few times a month.

I love chinese food. I grew up on it. Heck I grew up in beachwood. Anyways I find it incredibly hard to find good chinese food down in akron. I can think of maybe two full service chinese restaurants in the area that are good and only one of those is really really good. There are many many many many take out places. All look almost the same and some of their food is inedible and gross. Usually i kind of have two different scales for full service and quick service. Never between shale meet. This place broke that mold. I for the longest time considered chens garden the best take out in the area hands down. I called this place and was surprised to get someone who actually spoke english well and was able to understand any questions I may have. I asked for white rice instead of the pork fried rice. The wait time was 30 minutes which was actually longer than most take out places but maybe they were busy. So I got there early. Paid for my order and waited for it to be completed. As I sat there I saw the person who was running the counter. The one who spoke fluent english staying very very on top of things. If someone’s wait time was over the estimated time she was apologizing. Most times people understood as they told a few people that they ran out of egg rolls in the middle of a rush and had to get more prepared. I heard her talking on the phone to some customer and she sounded like the customer was yelling at her. She walked away from the counter so as to give the call some privacy and seemed to take most of the blame for the late order on herself. Though you could see the entire family working very hard to meet the orders. My food came right on on the 30 minute mark and was finished by one of the family members who though english was not their first language was very nice and spoke enough to be clear. She did something I have never seen at a chinese take out. She SMILED. She was busy but she smiled she tried to laugh. I love that. So of course service is one thing and food is another. I get the food home and I have to admit I am nervous. Some chinese take out has made me down right sick. Others has been good but still not sit down quality. Those places food was edible. I find with some take out that the chicken becomes kind of gummy. Sometimes I cant finish chewing it. Usually this can be connected to the fact that its a low quality chicken that is just a mash of parts of the chicken rather than a cut of breast or leg. I got my sweat an sour chicken. The chicken looked to be all white meat. Without sauce tasted like chic fil a nuggets. The sauce was a much lighter sauce. Not heavy gross. Their egg rolls were actually perfect. Not to under done not to crunchy. They were a nice soft feel. The stayed together when you eat them. The soup was good as well. I actually compare it to Ho-Wah’s in beachwood. Which is a pretty high standard as Ho-wah is pretty much they only chinese food left within the city of beachwood itself. It may be a bit of a drive from but, but its worth it. For those that live in the area. It is located in eastgate plaza in ELLET. Their lighted sign does not say MINGNEWHOME. It just says Chinese food. I would love to see these guys do full service sit down. give it a try if your near it.

Hands down, the absolute best Chinese food in the world. Nothing fancy about the restaurant or location but when you want some good eats it’s a great spot to pick-up from. My family has been going here as long as I remember. I live in Chicago now but I get take out from here every time I’m in town. My go to is the Chicken & Broccoli combination meal — includes fried rice and an egg roll. The General Tso’s is good too(request extra hot if you like things spicy). The pork fried rice is the best I’ve ever had but I’ve never had a meal here I didn’t enjoy.

This is one of those 90% takeout Chinese restaurants. One need only look at the dining area to know. Flying in the face of convention, we were dining in. We both got our go-to combination dinners of shrimp with broccoli. It comes with fried rice and egg roll. The lady requested white rice, I requested a spicy entrée. The folks who order spicy here must be timid souls as it was not spicy at all. Even after asking for some hot chili oil to kick it up a notch, it was still lacking in zip. If you’re into minimalism this is a great place for you to patronize . The sauces have minimal seasoning and are largely flavorless, The fried rice in unlike the standard which has brightly colored peas and carrots, and chunks of that iconic red roast pork chunks, in a flavorful sauce. This has unseasoned roast pork chunks and a sauce which doesn’t season but rather turns the final product a grayish unappealing color. The color is a portend of the taste which is also grayish and unappealing . There is an austerity program afoot here as well. The dishes did not come with any of the standard Chinese sauce packets,(soy, hot mustard, plum sauce, etc), nor were any sauces available on the table with the self-serve water dispenser. but it desperately needed all of the above and anything else one could dump on it. Pocket lint would have added flavor to this stuff! Indeed had my shorts not have been freshly laundered I would have been fishing around for some. Upon inquiring, we were afforded all of the aforementioned sauces. The minimalism continued with the two count ‘em TWO of those tiny, thin 2.5″ by 4″ napkins that are typically in the on-table dispensers that require they be dispensed in fist-fulls in order to avoid ripping them to shreds in the process. And the«forks» that accompanied the meal were the smallest, thinnest, most ineffective instruments of food consumption I have yet encountered. Dining would actually have been more effective with chopsticks and I am not in the least adept with dining with straws.

Apparently my husband used to go here all of the time. I LOVED this meal! The chicken was fried so perfectly and just delicious. Our service was friendly. The inside isn’t anything thrilling but the food is fantastic!

Never had a bad meal here. It’s a little no-frills place in a strip mall but it’s really clean and they have fast delivery. Their shrimp egg rolls are full of shrimp. My kids love the lo mein and the sweet and sour chicken is made of all white meat! We eat here once a week. Prices are decent. My only complaint would be that the workers kids are always running around the kitchen. Not safe or sanitary.

New Ming has always been my favorite Chinese restaurant. The people who work here are incredibly sweet! Their egg rolls are out of this world, and great food for really good prices.

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Sweet and Sour, the breading was not cooked all the way. Beef and mushrooms, the beef did not look or taste like beef(actually spit it out). and the sauce on both had no flavor at all. Also, they didn’t give us fortune cookies.
