This is mY second time going here. The 1st time I came here it was ok and this time it is blah. The service is way to slow! It took them 15 minutes to take our order and 20 minutes to bring our food out! I will not be coming back

A nice environment and atmosphere combined with a plentiful buffet created a wonderful lunch for us girls! Our plan was to have lunch before we went to Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens(which is 5 minutes away from here). The garlic Naan bread was good and the Chicken Masala was warm and tasty. The food deserved a solid 4 stars. The environment was mostly quiet and peaceful with a calm lighting, 4⁄5 stars. Finally, the server was busy but accommodating, 4 stars.

I came back to Saffron Patch after several years, always remembering that it was pretty good. This visit at the new location however was different. My boyfriend and I are currently still sick from eating here yesterday. We noticed something was wrong when all 4 of the chicken dishes we tasted were extremely dried out. We came right at 12pm — an hour after the restaurant opens — expecting that the food would be fresh. It most definitely was not. I said something to the waitress and she said«You mean dry like the desert sand?» And«oh its always like that». Our waitress was very friendly, she told another woman that worked there what I had said and that was the end of that. This is also the greasiest Indian food I have ever seen on top of the meat being discustingly dry, there were pools of it. For a $ 33 lunch, it was ABSOLUTELY not worth it. Missed a day of work because I couldn’t get off the pot. I won’t be going back.

I dont know who this manager is, but I think he’s on SOMETHING. Not the soft drink– but the illegal drug. He has short curly hair, is very abrupt, short tempered, and has absolutely no customer service skills. He seems to be in an unecessary hurry, and has just an arrogant aire about him. My family and I were here tonight and all he could do is talk nasty about his employees quite loudly. VERYUNPROFESSIONAL. I like coming in during the day, but definitely never again at night. The food is good though.

Went here for an anniversary party. It was hard to find because the sign wasn’t easy to find. The area for the party was nice. The food was just average and more so below average. Being Indian I have higher expectations but the food was really bland. Their pakoras and chunna chaat were good. But the samosas seemed to be the frozen kind that were warmed up and were flavorless. Nothing about the food was impressive but it wasn’t horrible either. Overall very unremarkable food. I think if you are South Asian you’ll be very disappointed with this food.

As a huge fan of Indian food, I’m always excited to try out new Indian restaurants when visiting other cities. I ordered the Maharaja Dal, Vegetable Biryani, and the Alu Naan. I ordered both the dal and the biryani at a spice level two out of five. The spice in the dal was almost undetectable, and the biryani was a bit too hot for me. YMMV, but I would have liked to have seen a bit more consistency. Everything was pretty tasty though, especially the saffron rice that came with our meals. Yum! The portion sizes were also huge. The dal, biryani and naan were way more than enough for two people — we’ve got at least one meals worth of leftovers. Our waitress was very friendly, and our food came out pretty quickly. I feel like this was really more of a 3.5 star experience for me, but I’ll round up since I’m looking forward to my leftovers :)

Saturday lunch buffet was great. Loved the complimentary Chai. Our favorites were the saffron rice, tandoori chicken, curried chicken and the fresh baked naan bread. Attentive wait staff. Well worth the bill.

Been here many times for take out and dinner. First time here for lunch buffet. The man working the front desk was friendly. The lady was really not. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and when I asked if they would be filling the stations again, she said no. They wanted to get out by 3pm. I asked the gentleman and he was super helpful and had some items refilled. The lady also kept walking by our table and saying that she didn’t plan on being here all afternoon. She would also whistle loudly and sing. Very uncomfortable. So we left. We enjoy the food, but better as take out.

Staff greeted you and we’re very friendly. First time for Indian Rana was our waiter. He explained things and brought a couple samples of the sauces out. Food was very different good too. Décor left much to be desired. I found the disrepair to be distracting. Probably would go back.

We have never been to the Saffron Patch and decided to try it last night. We waited several minutes to be seated even though there were several open tables. After being seated the women behind us made a comment to the woman busing tables about the slow service. During our 10+ minute wait(never even offered a beverage) we didn’t see anyone get food from the kitchen and saw lots of tables waiting to be waited on or served food. We ended up leaving. Not sure what the problem was last night but the kitchen appeared to be non-existent and there was a severe shortage of servers. Not sure if they will get a second chance.

I love their food, their curries really are the best locally. Same goes for the naan. And, they are family friendly. It’s nice to be able to take your young kids to a nice restaurant(water goblets, white table clothes, linen napkins and candles). A great way to introduce young kids to proper table etiquette. Thank you to the staff for letting our family ‘practice’!!

I came for their buffet at lunch time. We were greeted by great smiling waiter and seated right away. They were offering about 10 different dishes which fulfilled my expectations more than enough. I had — fried appetizers of 2 kinds made with veggies and dough, — basmati rice, — tandoori chicken, — chicken tikka masala, — fried califlowers & red peppers with soya or teriyaki sauce, — paneer & peas masala, — green lentil soup, — frshly baked naan that was brushed with butter on top — the famous Indian desert with brown balls in heavy syrup They also offered — lettuce salad, — indian pickles, — yogurt sauce with cucumbers as a dressing for salad, — fruuits, — indian tea. I believe they had more that I could not remember to list here. The tandoori chicken was made from thighs and drum sticks, which are the best part of the chicken for tandoor. They were well coked and juicy enough with little savory flavor which made them more delicious. The chicken tikka masala was perfect with creamy and delicious. The fried cauliflowers had a little sweety taste and a little hot spicy taste that made me guess that they could be a Chinese recipe rather than Indian. I will look forward to them at my next visit. All in all, every dish was great and I could be happy to have my lunch with any of those choices alone. For $ 10, what lunch options can compete with such a great buffet? It was a fast feast in an hour. I only wish that they could offer a smaller lunch for a smaller fee. For example, naan, rice, one chicken dish and one veggie for $ 5.99 with one of the salad, desert or drink, for example, with take out option would be great. No matter what, I cannot wait for my next visit.

Very Good northern Indian food. I am a huge fan of good indian grub. This place has a relaxing atmosphere to it with fresh white linens on the table. I love the vegetarian options they serve even though I am not vegetarian. My favorite is the mutta Paneer and Fried Apps. The mango chicken is really nice as well. During Lunch buffet, they serve Chia as well so GOOD!

This place is so neat. Today was my first time here. The food was amazing. There are so few Indian places in the area and it was such a nice change. The staff was friendly and the décor was very ambient and different. I really enjoyed my experience here and will most definitely be back.

Despite the negative reviews I read on Unilocal,I was very pleased with the lunch buffet. Good selection and quality of items offered. Also thought the ambience was nice. Will definitely return when I am in town.

When I entered in the restaurant, I asked him do you use coloring in the food. He said no but tomato pastes they use may have color. I told him that i know the curry color when tomato sauce is used. Please do not add more artificial colors. Then I ordered paneer makhani. They delivered roti and for next half hour I waited for my curry«paneer makhni» which was not delivered. When I asked him when the curry would be delivered. He said that you did not order any curry. Later on he told me that should have eaten the roti first. I will bring the curry later. I asked him«have you eaten roti first and then eaten curry». He said I am from Bangladesh. I asked him do you understand English? He said yes. I do not understand about service in this place. I am new in this city. People open Indian restaurant and then put those people to take order who have no idea about Indian food. After 10 minutes he brought paneer makhani with red color added. Food coloring is carcenogenic. Always eat food with zero coloring. Save you health.

We drove from Canton to this place after hearing so much about it. And when we came out we were literally angry at ourselves for making such a bad decision. Ambience — a really dated place with an average layout. Food — cooked in horribly stale, smelly oil. In the tandoori platter got a burnt keema samosa, when complained we were replaced with another burnt one with the burnt parts of it scratched off this time. Lamb tikka masala was average. The worse was naan! Stinked with that machine oil they had put on it. It’s like going to an American dinner and getting served mashed potatoes that are outright horrible. It was annoying! Price — for the quality and taste of food it’s was overtly priced but the quantity was good. Service — Good I bet Choolah, Jaipur junction and Bombay sitar are beyond comparison they are so good in front of this crappy SP. They are all in Cleveland-Canton area, save your health and money go there if you really want to eat the real Indian food.

One of the best Indian food ive had in quite a while. I would have given 5 stars for the food alone. The food really was excellent, but the service was a little rough, there it went. one star gone. It was a busy wednesday evening, but it was still not an excuse for the server to get flagged down by the customers. We sat at our table unacknowledged for a full 10 min. One of our parties had to wave to get our server’s attention and to let her know that we were ready to order. After we ordered, we had to wait for another long while, but when the food came, we all just ate in silent. We ordered goat curry, chicken makhani, chicken biryani, bhindi tawa masala, and paneer tikka masala. Everything was really good and full of flavor. We all agreed that bhindi tawa masala was the best dish of all. It was so flavorful and the spice level(3) was just right. Goat curry was also excellent. Goat was quite tendet. Our least favorite would have to be paneer tikka masala. It was good, but not that flavorful when compared with others. The rice in chicken biryani could have been a bit softer too. All in all, food was excellent. The service still has room for improvement though.
