THE liquor store in Akron. Clean, not shady, friendly staff. Great selection of most everything.

This is my favorite liquor store in Akron, hands down. They are clean, well-​stocked, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
I am a scotch/​bourbon/​gin drinker, so finding a place that carries a decent selection locally is really quite nice. Unlike most places, they have a good variety of scotch, including a dozen+ from Islay. Last time I was in there, they also had a couple bottles of Amrut, the first single malt out of India. I had previously only been able to get this online, so it was great to see a couple bottles in their store.
I’d love to see more Japanese whiskey as well as more Welsh, but until there’s a demand for them, I don’t expect to see them any time soon. The rest of the store’s selection is solid, and I’d expect that unless you’re looking for something really rare (or exceptionally expensive), you’ll have no problem finding it at Silver Spirits.
Additionally, their prices are superb. I’m not 100% sure how they do their pricing, but they’re consistently cheaper than everywhere else in the county and majority of the time, they beat online prices.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They will carry out your purchases to your car if it is heavy. That they accept credit cards cheerfully and no surcharge makes this the place to come to stock up your liquor cabinet. Great selections of all liquors. Owner is a very friendly, hard-​working fellow who goes out of his way to assist you. A great place to shop. Highly recommended.
