Me and my wife love Asian food and often try whatever Asian places we can find when we are out and about. When driving by Teriyaki Madness, we had to stop. The interior and aesthetics are top of the line. Very impressed by how well put together their restaurant is. However, restaurants are about much more than appearance… The menu was a little confusing. I feel like it could have been made more clear how each meal is structured. The guy taking our order was very helpful and explained it well, it just could be laid out better on the menu. As far as the food itself, I was not very impressed. While they did have some unique menu options that you don’t find at many Asian takeout restaurants, the food we got was pretty bland and/or oddly flavored. I got the standard teriyaki chicken. Maybe I was expecting too much but it just tasted very underwhelming. Me and my wife both agreed we wouldn’t have to go back.

I ordered the plate of beef yakisoba, the portions were huge. I had enough for lunch and dinner. Not bad for 10 bucks. The beef was tough to chew, definately rubbery. The vegetables and yakisobsa noodles had a nice taste to them. Would I go out of my way to order from them again? No. Would I order from them again, if I was in the area? Yes

I stopped in tonite for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Idk what the bad reviews are all about, but I got 2 bowls and they were executed to perfection. The veggies were al dente and not mushy, the chicken wasn’t chewy or hard… the rice was excellent. So in my opinion this should be a definite stop on your list for a «fast» Chinese-ish restaurant. They even have no/low carbs options without the rice or noodles… which again is great. Service was pleasant and fast. Food was fresh and cheap. What more could we ask for??? Who wants the old fast food burgers anymore? Not I.

We had a terrible first experience with the food(the chicken was so over-cooked it was inedible), however the GM, Mike was super patient with us on our first visit and immediately offered to make it right, so we came back. This time was exceptional! The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the chicken was really good!

Nothing ever lasts in this building and this will probably be no exception… the staff is very friendly but took THREE tries to get our order correct… even though we were the only customers. Also took like half an hour? To make noodles?

Clean, good food. A bit pricy but big portions. Teriyaki is good, spicy chicken is perfect!

I love this place! A fresh, healthy alternative to fast food. Veggies are always super fresh! I always get the Spicy chicken breast teriyaki bowl! It’s a little pricy($ 7.50 per bowl), but well worth it. Great flavor and quality. This place is rarely busy, so I do hope they will be around for a while.

I enjoy dining at this place. Everything has always been prepared fresh to go: chicken, veggies and rice. The venue is very clean and for the portions of food they give you is a substantial amount. I always have leftovers. Leaving me craving for more. Thanks for bringing the Madness to West Akron. We appreciate you :)

Place is clean, affordable, and good food. I give it 4 stars because there isn’t much variety, although, I wouldn’t let that stop you from coming in. It’s something you’d generally pick up if you needed something fast and you’re craving some Asian food. I’ll come back if I’m in the area.

The trend continues for Chipotle style restaurants. Been passing this while working for a few months now. Service was quick, place looked good and the spicy chicken bowl was good. A little pricy, but not bad. Definitely be back.

If you are looking for«mall food court quality» food, this is the place. The veggies were good but the beef & chicken were way overcooked and very tough. The rice was really mushy and sticky and the noodles were very dry and tough also. The service was good and that is a positive but I can’t say that I would ever go back.

Tried this today for the first time. Had my order for take out. Waited a while but didn’t mind since food was being prepared fresh. Food was good, although the stir fry vegetables were just Bok choy and lettuce. Would expect more than that. I would go back though as it was good and affordable.

This place is basically everything you wish mall Chinese was, but never actually is. Cheap, fresh, delicious, and filling! Plus, they have vegetarian options other than just getting a plate of rice and cabbage. The tofu teriyaki was perfectly cooked and a great texture. This is also the first time I’ve had a tofu dish at a restaurant that tasted like the tofu was actually pressed and then marinated and it was soooo good! The veggies were also cooked perfectly. Service was good and the entire restaurant seemed very clean.

Well every time I drive by this place, there is nobody here, and now I know why! Music is so loud, can barely order or have a conversation with the people your with! Food is ok, but for $ 25 for 2, I’ll not be coming back, much better places down the road! Guessing this place will fall victim to fate of the last three places on this corner! Closed sooner than later!

I’m going on my 8th visit to Teriyaki Madness; it’s becoming a worrisome habit that is putting a stress on the family budget. But I can’t stop. An intervention may be necessary soon… For the record, I haven’t had a single long wait or sub-par experience to speak of thus far, other than some sticky tables which the man at the register was more than happy to wipe down at our request.

Great food and a very nice atmosphere as well. I got the original teriyaki chicken bowl, and it was very filling. I also got an eggroll which was good. The location is great in West Akron. I will be back for sure. The teriyaki has a great taste and the fried rice is the best I’ve had in a while.

So I decided to give Teriyaki Madness another try. What a mistake. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki bowl with noodles and a side of macaroni salad. First the cashier was a pleasure, and wait time this time was fast. But the true reason that people go to a restaurant is for the food, so here we go. The Beef Teriyaki smelled good, but meat was over cooked. I have had beef jerky that was way more tender than this. The noodles were tough. I have been to Japan and have had Yakisoba noodles. I know they are alittle tougher but not undercooked. The macaroni salad was bland, all two forks full of it. Stir Fried vegetables, I don’t think so. I appreciate the owners adding doors so you can’t see the kitchen anymore.

I visited this location April 6, 2015 during their soft opening. This was the location of the now closed Caribou coffee and Pete’s coffee and tea. The menu is short and to the point which I prefer versus trying to specialize in many different menu items. For starters, this place is child/baby friendly with high chairs and a changing table in the restrooms. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl with brown rice. The best comparison to this would be the chinese food places you see inside mall food courts, but that is where the comparison stops. The food is much better than the mall because everything is made freah to order! The chicken tasted better, not disintegrated like at the food court. The veggies were crisp and the brown rice was nice and flakey. They even had bottles of low sodium soy sauce, Siracha and their own teriyaki sauce at the table. The place is very health conscious, with posters on the walls explaining the health benefits of their veggies. The chicken egg roll is pretty good, but at first it came out cold, because they were prepackaged and they didn’t fry it long enough. No biggie. That is what a soft opening is for so they can make sure everything is right. The dipping sauce for the egg rolls was a nice sweet subtle ginger glaze. It was not too sweet and overpowering like a sweet and sour sauce. The co-owner, Matt, made it a point to greet every customer whi walked into the restaurant with energy and enthusiasm. My only request is that they have toothpicks next time, which they did not have. Whenever you serve meat, you should have toothpicks around. Overall, great location.
