The Playpen

This club is across the street from Gatsby’s so I gave it a try. I stopped by Friday around 6−7pm and it had only one dancer and one customer sitting at the bar together. Very boring so I walked out before ordering a drink. I went over to Gatsby’s and it was TOO crowded. I couldn’t find a place to sit at the bar over there. I might give this place another try but I won’t go in so early.

If you’ve ever wanted to go to a strip club where the drinks are cheap, the girls are below average, and the patrons are all armed, then The Playpen is the perfect place for you.
I came here during Easter, if that gives you any idea about my morals. Not a single stripper was dancing. They were all posing for photos. What the hell? I thought this was a strip club, not a photo studio. The bartender looked quite unfriendly with her intimidating tats, but was actually not half bad. A Great Lakes beer was $ 3, so I really can’t complain about prices. The music was incredibly loud — too loud to hear much of what was said.
As the night went on, the clientele became more and more ghetto. A few of them were even wearing gang paraphernalia and were clearly armed. My gut was telling me to leave, so I did. Apparently, a fight broke out later that night and a shooting took place in the parking lot, according to the Beacon Journal. On Easter. What the hell? This is seriously the last time I ever come in here.
