Alameda Bayfarm Academy

I really wanted to like this place and when I went to go to the tour on a Friday afternoon, I was told there was availability for my son in April. Before I left the center, I asked what the next steps would be and I was simply told by the owner of the academy to call them and let them know if I was interested in moving forward in having my son attend the center. I called Monday morning and I was told that someone who visited the center right before me came back Friday after I left and provided a deposit of $ 300 in cash. I asked had I been told upfront that they accepted a deposit, I would have also provided that. I also said the situation seems as if I came back with an offer of $ 400 in cash, that the other patron would then lose her spot and it would be a vicious cycle/​battle which should not be the case and very bad business. I do not recommend this childcare center for the sole reason of unprofessionalism and shady business tactics.

I wanted to take the time to write an updated review of Alameda Bayfarm Academy, as we continue to be over the moon about having our two girls at this school. Their teachers are wonderful, patient, kind, engaging and on top of all of that, they have a very good understanding of early childhood development – I have learned so much from the teachers and how they work through things with the kids and help them to grow!
My girls are so happy here. On the weekend, they ask about their teachers and wish they could see them. We go through the days of the weekend to help our oldest daughter understand it will be two more days before they see their teachers, school, and friends!
The children go to the park and the library on a very regular basis, they do art activities, have circle time, learn their letters and my oldest knows how to count to ten plus in Chinese as well as sing several lovely songs. The teachers continue to have the same enthusiasm as when my girls first started at the school. I still receive photos and narrative updates every day. It is simply wonderful!
When you are a working parent, it is very hard to leave your little ones, but it makes it easier when you know they are engaged and thriving during the day, learning how to be good people in this big world!

This is very good childcare centre. Teachers are friendly and warm. My 2 year old son always has good time there. I agree about the good things about this centre mentioned by other reviewers.

My 2 year old daughter has been attending this program for 6 months and my husband and I could not be happier. The facility is clean, spacious and well equipped with toys, activities, and manipulatives. Each day when we drop our daughter off she literally leaps into the arms of her caretaker and squeals with excitement. It is obvious that she enjoys coming to Alameda Bayfarm Academy and it’s extremely reassuring as a parent to know that my child is having fun, while learning in a safe and nurturing environment. Some of the key highlights: affordable, great hours for working parents (7:30am-6:00pm), trips to the park, meals included, art projects, an emphasis on manners (sharing, taking turns, etc) and an awesome outdoor space. My daughter comes home telling me new things and singing new songs and it makes my heart happy that she is learning and advancing in such a great environment while I am at work each day.
