One of the best dentist my family have been to. He took a really great care of customer and very precise in his procedure. He is always ahead of himself and letting you know all the necessary information. Waiting time is almost 0, unlike many other office where they made u wait like 30mins when u arrive at the appointment time.

I have found Dr. Bothwell to go above and beyond for me. Before I even moved to Alameda, I was in FL just days before my move and I broke a tooth. I called Dr. Bothwell and he hooked me up for as soon as I got to town. He is friendly, his office staff is divine and I give them 5 stars. The office could use some updating, but it’s not there for cosmetics… just to get the job done! I’ve had cavities filled, cleanings and a root canal and all have gone well without infection or extra pain. He’s awesome.

I have been going to Dr. Bothwell for almost 12 years! He helped me overcome my fear of needless. He is super nice and gentle when it comes to injection time. The machine he has feels like a tiny prick and goes in slowly. I am always glad to refer everyone I know to him and will go to him when I have kids. His assistants are super sweet and fun to talk with. Thank you Dr. Bothwell, the greatest dentist ever!

Amazing office!
They squeezed my elderly mom in for an urgent dental matter. Like many people, she is fearful of going to a dentist. She managed to avoid them for over 10 years.
Upon arriving, Kelly came out to greet my mother with a great sense of humor and lots of love. The entire office put her at ease. Dr. Bothwell was gentle and explained everything thoroughly.
Our experience at this office was completely incredible. They are highly recommended.

Dr. Bothwell is a fantastic dentist. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him almost my entire adult life, and my parents have been going to him for years. First and foremost, he’s trustworthy. When it comes to dentistry, most of us have no idea what needs to be replaced, what’s the best way to treat XX problem, what’s the most cost effective and long lasting way to fix dental problems, etc. While living in San Diego I had the unfortunate experience of visiting bad dentist after bad dentist. It was so refreshing to be back in the Bay Area where I could see Dr. Bothwell. He’s very gentle and very nice. His entire staff is also wonderful. I don’t mind getting my teeth cleaned because the women are so darn friendly.

Dr. Bothwell and his staff are simply excellent! My husband and I had terrible experiences with dentists growing up as kids. He and his staff changed our whole perception of dentistry — what a difference a great dentist makes.

I have been seeing Dr. Bothwell for more than 20 years and I recently took a «deal» to see a different dentist to save some $$$ while I was without insurance. I will NEVER do that again. Dr. Bothwell and the hygienists are all so very thorough and careful, they care about not just your health but also your comfort, and they even tend to run on time. And yes if you have any major work done he will probably call you to see if you are OK. I vow not to stray again.

I’ve been coming to Dr. Bothwell my entire life, and I have to say, he and his dental assistants are as good as I could ever hope for. They’re attentive, know exactly what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and I always leave knowing they’ve done a fantastic job cleaning my teeth and do a full examination every time, taking no shortcuts. They’re also great with scheduling; they know I’m a student and take the time to try and be as flexible with getting me an appointment for my next cleaning as they could possibly ever be. I won’t trust anyone else with my choppers. Professional, cheery, and positive are what everyone working here always are.

Great Dentist. Gentle, carefull to explain what needs to be done, careful to explain insurance options. I sent my daughter to him and he caught a diagnosis that another, much more expensive dentist missed. Great guy in general.
He does do emergencies, I think as once or twice I have been bumped when I came in for a cleaning, And frankly, I think that is a good thing. He does for the person in worse shape — and if I were in that circumstance, that is exactly how I would hope to be treated.
Cannot recommend this guy too highly.
And Kelly — his assistant is great as well — always ready with a smile and a cheery disposition.

My initial visit to Dr. Bothwells’ office was great. All the staff members greet you with a smile and are ready to answer all your questions. Most of his staff members have been with him for many, many years. That alone has to stand for something.

I have a titanium-​steel post 1 5/​8″ deep in my skull anchoring a false front tooth. It looks fantastic and will outlast ME. Getting the dead tooth pulled, the bone treated, and the new one it put in was HELL ON EARTH… except for the parts that Dr. Bothwell did.
He is, quite frankly, the best in the business. If you need an oral surgeon, this is the best option and the only person I will go to.
