This is gem, and I could not have made my movie RUBEN’S PLACE with out the use of this studio. Great props too. If you are videographer like me, or a photographer, Artist, you’ll love it. Chuck is well known in the community and connected thru many events that sometimes get held here. High energy person. You’ll see what I mean when you meet him. I mainly used the roof top, and the large studio in the back. Great space. Cool looking building, down the street from a shopping center, places to eat and a gas station. Easy access to freeway entrance. Would use the facility again.

This is no ordinary co working space. The owner Chuck is a magnet for people, and business, and is the most gregarious person you will meet. He will find you a space that fits your needs, lend a hand if you need help setting up a project, and introduce you to a ton of people. He even cooks dinner a few nights a week. It is the best space whether you rent for an hour or for years, you are treated better than family. If you think having an office at home is a convenience think again, interruptions, distractions, and how often does new business knock on a residential door? Get to Bridgehead Studios and get it going.

The space in here is absolutely inspirational. Not only is the building a conversation, it’s worthy of much admiration. The workspaces are luxurious and the other tenants are super friendly. There are main areas where a member or tenant has accesses to where magic happens. Even now as we speak there is a fabulous photo shoot happening downstairs. I held my last fashion show in one of these rooms. Awesome! The cherry on top is the art curator/studio manager, Chuck. He is connected into the Bay Area community, loves art, makes art, and is super easy to do business with. He is genuinely interested in the artist and their projects. :-) I have been a tenant for 15 months. Love it!

Unrelated to photo shoots, Chuck is very skilled in the mechanical realm. I have a timbale(steel salsa drum) that was dented in a fall. It’s a vintage professional drum and the dent was minor but it had to be bent back and restored correctly to preserve its look and integrity. Chuck knew exactly what to do and did it with the skill and finesse of an experienced craftsman. Thanks, Chuck!

We had a surprise party for my mom’s 70th birthday here and the entire evening was wonderful. Chuck was very easy to work with and had great suggestions to make the evening memorable. Everything ran so smoothly. Everyone loved the place and the layout is great and the rooms are very cool. I would definitely use them again for another event.

Chuck diGuida supports not only visual arts such as photography, but also a number of other entrepreneurs and events. I’ve enjoyed plays,(including innovative work by Virago Theater), attended birthday parties and low-key gala events, seen some fascinating art and generally had a great time, every single time I’ve walked through the door. Look for an amazing mosaic on the exterior of the building, facing Blanding Ave. Second Friday monthly is Estuary Art Attack — a fun local gallery crawl. Show up and have some fun!

Bridgehead Studios in Alameda is an absolute gem. I found them in December, thanks to the good people of Unilocal, when I was in a crunch and needed to set up a photo-shoot quickly and in an in-door space. Little did I know that I was about to stumble upon what is easily finest art/photo studio experience I’ve ever had. First off, the space is amazing. There are tons of different sized spaces, all with plenty of natural light, props and photo lights to use. The rates are very reasonable. Chuck,(the owner) has done a lot to create a very inspiring, creative environment. The building is very cool. Speaking of Chuck, he is the reason I’m giving the 5 Star review(something I rarely do). Chuck is absolutely awesome. From the moment I got there, Chuck treated me like family. Going so far as to help our photographer tweak and perfect her light/camera settings so our shots came out perfect(he is a very experienced and skilled photographer himself). My artist needed a wife-beater(tanktop) for a specific shot and we forgot to bring one for him. Chuck ran and got a brand new one he had stashed away for him. He had some guys there helping renovate a larger room and he went to the grocery store across the street and bought supplies to make everyone Lunch. He barbequed chicken fajitas with all the fixings and invited everyone to eat. It was awesome. He also was very generous with the amount of time he billed me for. We easily spent 1 ½ hours setting up with his assistance, and he never charged us for it. Simply put, Bridgehead Studios is an amazing place to work and Chuck is the man. Highly recommended!

Space has lots of variety in terms of light and usage. There’s always something going on over there. Lots of props and surfaces to work with. Rental rates are reasonable. And its location is close to Park St; very convenient and safe. I like the local art shown and lo-fi feel of the venue. Check out the wonderful Isaiah Zagar mosiac on the building façade. Chuck’s got great energy, always helpful with ideas, and is active in the East Bay art scene. The past openings have impressed me with quality, vibe, and turnout. Alameda has a working art scene and Blanding St is becoming its central zone. Come for the numerous events like 2nd Fridays, Estuary Art Attack.

As a local photographer, I had been on the hunt for a good studio location for years. Luckily, the search is over! This place is a photographer’s dream. The owner, Chuck, has created an amazing space, with an array of props & set locations for any kind of shoot! I rent one studio, but have access to the other studios if needed with a efficient and functional online calendar system. Another nice thing about the place is the location. Even thought it’s on the island of Alameda, it’s basically right off 880, so I can serve a broad client base — from vallejo to san jose, pleasanton, SF… and even BART(fruitvale stn)!. And Alameda is kind of a gem unto itself, as I’m discovering. Bridgehead studio is right off Park St, with awesome dining & downtown scene. And close to the beach ;) And it’s not just for photographers — painters, dancers, musicians and other artists share their homes here so it’s a very diverse and creative bunch. It’s so cool to go to work and see different, amazing art on the walls from month to month. So yeah — if you’re a photog looking for a great space with low overhead this is ideal — he even rents hourly! And anyone needing a home away for home for your creativity outlet, call Chuck and check it out. You will not be disappointed :)

Bridgehead Studio is a very cool photography and artist coop in the Bay Area. As a resident photographer in one of the studios I enjoy the space for various professional shoots, and can call it a second home. What’s unique about the space is that it not only houses a variety of tenants from dance studios to photography, but the space also holds a variety of public events including the monthly open studios. The space is perfect for anyone who is interested in taking their photography to the next level. I have been a tenant here for over 4 years, and would highly recommend the space.

Chuck DiGuida has created an amazing space for artists, photographers, and filmmakers to showcase their work. It’s a super cool scene. Bridgehead is situated in an old factory/warehouse. It’s got kind of an industrial vibe, but it’s also built out with several large, artfully decorated studios, a huge main gallery, and lots of smaller, cozy gathering places. It even has an awesome rooftop area for smoking and stargazing on hot summer nights. 2nd Fridays of each month Estuary Art Attack puts on a fabulous open studio night — and Bridgehead is at the center of it all. It’s a terrific spot to party and mingle with art lovers, makers, and local scenesters. The perfect place to start a night out on the town. I’ve been there dozens of times and there’s always something new and cool to keep me coming back. Go. You won’t be disappointed.

We’ve been leasing a private studio space for our Graphic Design business for just under a year. Chuck gladly worked with us to re-vamp our space, making it the start-up space we wanted. Great space, great landlord, great price! With an array of creative ‘heads’ coming in and out of the building frequently, it’s a great place to network, meet new people and learn about new and upcoming talent.
