I’ve been here a couple times. First had my kid’s laptop frozen up up with some kind of virus. Team cleaned it up and got it back in working order quickly. Even had a small piece of something rolling around inside which they fixed for us as well.
2^nd time we brought the same laptop because we needed more memory for an online game he had saved up to purchase. Eon had good pricing even compared to trying to buy memory on my own and crack open the laptop to install myself. Zach ran through the options and asked what we were trying to run. He installed but called to advise that the game we wanted would not run, even with the additional ram. Prob did not have the right kind of video card, etc. Zach asked if we still wanted memory, I asked if he would charge me for putting it in, even if I opted to pass on the additional memory. He said NO. No service charge for opening laptop, installing memory, and finding out that I no longer wanted the memory. That’s good service to get me coming back.
Also, after deciding that we needed to get a more powerful computer for my kid’s gaming needs, I sent a few ideas to Zach on what I was thinking about, and he was gracious enough to give me his feedback and tell me what a great deal it was I had found, elsewhere!
Our definite go-​to place for any computer repair type needs.

My company uses Eon Technologies exclusively, and I have been using them since I started almost 2 years ago. Every time I call, I am greeted by Barbara and she does her best to get me someone to talk to. If they are busy, they call me back in a timely fashion.
I must have called and spoke to Acmed a million times and he is a God send! I live in Alameda and sometimes I might have to go into the office to bring my laptop, and they are always so friendly. They really know their stuff!

Can I put 25 Stars up?/! These guys and Barbara are the best! Immediate response to my crazed pulling my hair out, biting my nails off phone calls. They log in remotely and fix the problem usually with in 30 to 60 minutes. Even things that have baffled my AT&T Tech 360 service contact techs have been solved and repaired by the techs at EON. They realize the importance of my office computer and know I’m virtually out of business until it’s back-​up and running smoothly.

I bought a bunch of computer parts and had a friend put it together. It worked great but I got the blue screen of death during long gaming sessions. I brought the tower into Eon and dropped it off to Barbara. Zach called me later that afternoon and told me he would run tests to isolate the problem and asked me some questions about my issues. I picked up the tower a couple of days later and it’s been working without a hitch since. (the problem was the CPU overclocking, set back to default to fix)

I will never use any other company for my computers. I was ready to fork out the dough for a new computer and I told them that. They were able to clean up my poor old machine and it runs like new… better then new. Highly recommended!!!

In an era where everything is now disposable, Eon Tech has shown me that even though my 5 yr old PC was on the fritz, there was no reason to throw down $ 800 to purchase a new one. Zach was able to diagnose the situation over the phone, and in 2 days, he had everything fixed. He even upgraded my memory and tweaked an internet connection issue I was having for no extra fee! Super friendly, super competent, super professional, super informative! Saved me at LEAST $ 700, and told me there was no reason I couldn’t get a few more years out of my machine.
Would recommend to anyone with any computer problems. Good to see people still know how to FIX things!

I think the proof of a service-​based company is not only the quick-​fix projects but also the extended problematic challenges that require frequent troubleshooting to get to the rosy end of the road. I’ve had the pleasure of both experiences at Eon Tech. The quick fix on laptops as I’m heading out of town, transferring data, recovering data from a laptop hard drive that had been in a vehicle accident… all were quick and accomplished to my specs with reasonable rates and professional care.
My most recent journey resulted from BOT activity through Comcast, an infected laptop, an infected desktop, another infected desktop, a crashed desktop (from old age… RIP), a new HP Pavillion that proved to be defective, another new HP Pavillion that proved to trip on itself (and Windows 8), recovering data, transferring recovered data, reformatting the recovered data… the project is almost to its end.
I’m a bit of a tech-​wreck but everyone at Eon treated me professionally and sympathized with challenges. I own my small business, I know what a challenge customer service can be as frustrations roll out of our control.
These guys are just splendid, I couldn’t give them higher praises than a Stellar Unilocal review and my continued business.

Taking my computer to Eon Technologies Inc. was a wonderful decision. My computer had a blue screen, virus, and trojans; a real nightmare for someone who is not super tech savvy. At Eon Technologies they were extremely professional and were able to start the diagnostic process on my computer the same day I brought it in. The staff was extremely informative and would give me an update at the end of each business day about the status of my sickly computer. This I really appreciated! They worked tirelessly on my laptop for a week and were able to save all my files and get my machine back to normal. Had I gone to some other place that charges at an hourly rate, I would have had to shell out about as much money as it would take to get a new computer. This company is fairly priced with a $ 100.00 flat rate to fix you computer and I would use them again.

We have a small business heavily dependent upon technology. When our IT isn’t working, it often translates into lost billings and dissatisfied clients. We can usually fix the easy stuff ourselves, so when we call, it’s a challenge and urgent. That’s why we’re lucky to have found Robert, Barbara and their team.
Robert is a gem who cares about making sure his clients’ IT works and appreciating his success by giving back to the community. Barbara is a goddess, often finding someone who can help within a few hours even in a relatively small office with a busy team. You know how it is when you call and the person on the other end «gets» your pain?
A reasonable price is worthless if the problem isn’t solved quickly or permanently — or if the staff burns your time and money asking stupid questions. We haven’t had that problem here. We’ve been testing Eon for five or six years now, and we’re tough customers — used to 7×24 corporate IT support and perks from our tech clients. After trying several companies, we settled on Eon. They’re the company that’s served our needs best.
So do they sometimes make a bad hire? Perhaps, but everyone does. The point is, at Eon you can stay on top of it, you can say, «Stop!», and they care (!). Go to Barbara or Robert and check in. If there’s a problem, you’ll get a new approach, and maybe even a new resource. No one babysits everyone, and you won’t get perfect service anywhere. But if you’re a small business like us, chances are you won’t get better service anywhere else. And you’ll be doing business with someone who cares about you and your community. Now really, what’s better than that?

well, i had used up almost all the space in my sad little laptop. I needed 500 GB’s. I went to Best Buy Emeryville, where I’ve had great service before, but they told me it would take a week because they were «backed up.» A week w/​o my machine! Plus, I’d have to actually purchase MS Office (as a friend had loaded it on mine previously and I didn’t want to ask again). Plus all the time re-​loading all of my software/​drivers, etc. I wasn’t looking forward to spending that much time on getting it up and running again.
I believe in supporting local businesses, so I asked my car mechanic, whom I trust implicitly, if he knew of a computer person in town. He said his boss drives here from SF to go to Eon Technologies. Since it’s walking distance from my house, I thought great, I’ll give them a shot. I took it over there, Zach started working on it right away — he had the 500 gb hard drive in stock, and miraculously I had my machine back within a few hours!
The best thing, besides the low price ($ 100 labor and $ 69 for the hard drive) was that he was able to «clone» my old hard drive so that all of my programs and settings were intact. I didn’t know that that was possible. I saved $$ from not having to buy new software and more importantly — time! My computer would have been sitting on a shelf at the Geek Squad all week before someone could even open it up.
I’m so happy with the fast, friendly, service and to be back in business so soon. Thanks Eon! Hopefully I won’t need their services again for awhile, but when I do…

This place rocks! Dropped my computer off this morning and got it back the same day. It works great and they didn’t even charge me for a full hour.

Eon Technologies was able to do what Dell couldn’t/wouldn’t do. They were able to start my laptop and retrieve all my files. Quality work and friendly service — wow, what a concept! Thanks Eon!!!

I have used their services a couple of times, the latest for a house call concerning a WiFi problem with my laptop. They diagnosed the problem as being in my WiFi router and replaced it. Excellent work, fair pricing. Highly recommended.

I have taken my PC to them a couple of times over the last two years. I have been called to update before I felt I needed to call them. How rare is that for a computer repair firm? Their prices are reasonable and in both cases I had my computer back within 2 business days. Pretty great in my experience.

I love this place, it has a small town family feel, they know what they are doing and they are HONEST! They tell you the real deal and work to solve the problem. The rates are so reasonable, they can even charge a little bit more. Zac knows what he is talking about. Don’t bring your computer to one of those overpriced places in Oakland, make the short trip over here, you won’t be disappointed.

Just picked up my laptop today. Total turn around time was 3 days – Not bad. My laptop is good as new and for 100 bucks. For me the price vs location and turn around time was worth it. Hope this helps someone else if your on the fence.
