I am giving this 3 stars since Kathy Herrera is no longer there. Thank goodness I found her again at Studio M in Alameda. For anyone trying to find a creative, professional and attentive stylist call her at 510−521−8086. The salon there is amazing and calming and updated.

I’ve been seeing Kathie H. for a few years now and she is the BEST. i have curly hair and she is the only hairdresser i’ve ever gone to who understands how to cut my hair properly! if i go anywhere else, i’ll leave with uneven hair or bad layers. Kathie is fun, easy to talk to and great at cutting and styling hair. I ALWAYS go to her if i need my hair styled for a formal occasion — including proms and weddings, and she never fails.

Nice Energy, with different beauticians to choose from, and energy healer available for treatments, she has magic hands, and you can get an aroma therapy treatment with your pedicure. Nice relaxed atmosphere…

I have been seeing Kathie H at K’Bella for years! She does my color and cut about every 3 weeks as I can’t stand the skunk line! I love her and her work. It’s a wonderful quiet environment and she is very accommodating and creative. She’s the busiest stylist in the salon, so book early… but it is worth the wait.

I love this shop! Someone in previous reviews has mistaken the owner Kathy Short for Kathy B. Haven’t had someone cut my curly hair just how I like it in many years. Ask for Kathy B. she’s the one. She takes her time and gets it right. And if the cut needs a little fine tuning in the days after, she totally accommodates though rarely necessary! The ambiance of this place is just my style. Such a pleasure!

We host birthday parties for girls from time to time, and have had Lynette Jenkins Turcuta from K’bella come in and do «up dos» on birthday girls for fun.
Lynette is GREAT with kids/​girls. Very engaging and a real nice person. While I’m sure Lynette is up on the latest fashions and all that, I can truly say she made my 12 year old daughter’s birthday party a huge success.

I got an eyebrow and lip wax done today here with Kathy B. It was one of the most thorough and nice looking waxes I have had done. And I have gone to several salons. The wax she used was a chocolate wax so since I am a chocoholic that was a plus a yummy to smell. Their prices were very reasonable for the quality and the time she took. I would definitely recommend her for any facial waxing.
