Kristen is my girl! I have jet black curly hair and wanted to go blonde. I attempted to do it myself but wasn’t satisfied. I booked with Kristen whom I discovered through a mutual friend. She saw me right away (I got lucky). And let me just say that Kristen knows her stuff! Going from black to blonde can be scary but I felt safe in her hands. She took real good care of me.

I gotta go here! After seeing my friend’s hair from jet black to amazing blonde… I’m convinced its time I go back to blonde again

Angelina has been cutting my hair (and the hair of several close friends) for years now. She’s everything you want in a hairdresser: she listens to what you want, is skilled at her work, and produces great results. On top of that, she is friendly and fun and a hoot to spend your time in the chair with. I have never been disappointed with a haircut from Angelina. The whole energy in the salon is friendly and relaxed. Several people I know have their hair needs met by Millie, who is always great to talk to and has very loyal and adoring clients.

Millie has been doing my hair for ten plus years. And well, she is just awesome. My hair is super thick and curly, but since I found Millie, I love my hair, and enjoy my curls which I never did before, thanks to Millie.

Millie is excellent. She listens to what you what and will create it for you. She is personable and makes sure you will be looking your best.

Both my son and I have thick, unruly, coarse hair with a mind of its own. Millie always makes us look good! She is a miracle woman! She is reasonably priced and although we have tons of hair she manages to give a gorgeous cut without it taking a lifetime.

Another rave for Angelina… She was the first person to cut my hair when I moved to the Bay Area 7+ years ago. It is quite a drive for me to see her, so after awhile, and especially once I had kids I quit going. In the meantime, I tried several other stylists in my town with mixed results – from jaw-​droppingly-​aweful to pretty good. I needed to book another appointment and was thinking of going back to the $ 60 guy who does a decent job when I realized «Angelina has given me my all-​time favorite cuts. I just need to MAKE time to go there and quit wasting my time & money on mediocre cuts.» I have another appointment booked and can’t wait to go back to see her again.
Oh, and fwiw, I have smooth, wavy hair… hmmmm…she’s awesome, though.

Millie is funny, talented, and a magician with scissors… Almost don’t want to tell you about her so I can get appointments!
Millie has seen me through short and long, and she is up on the latest trends in style and product.

So a good friend of mine gets her hair cut here. Angelina’s the one who convinced her to go short and lemme tell you, it looks fab.
I really can’t imagine her with long hair anymore.
So when I was thinking about getting my long locks chopped, she kept dropping Angelina’s name.
But I don’t like new people, I said. But I’m not sure I want to head to Alameda, I said. But…
Okay fine.
I brought the picture of my 70 dollar haircut from RM in WC that I adored before one of their stylists ruined my bangs.
45 dollars and 45 minutes later she had improved upon the original. In fact I love it MORE than the 70 dollar haircut. By miles.
Because I almost never put product in my hair and I barely brush it, it has to fall right every time. It has to be layered correctly and not by someone who wants me to «fix it» daily with product.
Basically I want to do nothing to it and to have it be awesome. Which she accomplished in spades.
One very satisfied and definite return customer here.

Miilie is a fantastic stylist and so I go all the way from North Berkeley to have her do my hair, The salon is very small but friendly. I have difficult to manage hair but Millie makes me look great! There is usually parking on the street in front. If I didn’t have to pick my son from school I’d try the German restaurant next door which looks tasty. Millie is the best!!!

Been around the world and Angelina is the BEST! She’s a real pro and listens to me when I tell her what I want. I have straight hair with a slight wave and she manages to make it look great.

If you have «atypical» hair like me [e.g. you do not have flat fine perfect white people hair], you know how hard it is to find someone who can do it right. My hair is extremely thick and coarse and generally a nightmare and I have spent much of my life going from stylist to stylist trying to find someone competent enough to help me and mostly been disappointed.
Millie is the third stylist EVER who has totally GOT my hair and gave me the most awesome cut ever and I am so, so, so happy.
I took my boyfriend there last week and he looks hotter than ever.
We’ve both been getting compliments non-​stop.
Highly recommended.

I have been going to Angelina for haircuts for about 5 years. I like her but find that about half the haircuts are good and the other half are disappointing. I feel bad because I think that when I have gotten a poor haircut, I have come in and been more of a control freak and caused her to lose her confidence. I have not gone back in many months. My hair type is thick, coarse and curly.
On the other hand, my husband has smooth, wavy hair and has never gotten a bad haircut from Angelina. Every single haircut has been fantastic. I daresay he has become more handsome because of her work.
Conclusion: curly haired control freaks — don’t go here. Smooth haired and open to a new experience — DEFINITELY see Angelina.
