I absolutely LOVED living here! The apartments have amazing character! The grounds are beautiful and there was a great mix of eclectic personalities who lived there. My apartment was one of the nicest — with a huge deck and working fireplace. Great location and the history of this place is pretty incredible.
I loved the courtyard, and having BBQ’s and wine and just hanging out with other people. It was more like family than an apartment complex.
I had a huge pit/rott mix and never had any issues with management or other tenants and their little toy dogs.
The cons were: It’s expensive for the size of apartment and the waiting list.
Once you get in you might never want to leave!

ZERO STARS FOR THE WOMAN THAT GAVE ME POOR SERVICE
I called 4 times because I COULD NOT understand what the beginning of the answering machines message was about the apartments. I was NOT expecting anyone to answer, I knew that I was calling after hours but i wanted to leave a message and ask about the rooms. She answered the 4^th time with so much attitude. She gave me s#it about not having any available rooms and complained about me calling several times after hours. (Again, i wasn’t expecting anyone to answer. I just wanted to leave a message for a call back)
I hung up on her. Don’t expect to be rude to people and be treated nicely.

Lived here for the past year and a half while working on a tech contract in downtown Oakland. Didn’t want to live in Oakland and happened to walk by the Neptune Court on the way to Crab Cove. Got on the waiting list that very day.
It did take a few months to work my way up the waiting list but it was worth it. Character — character — character! I loved my studio apartment and the neighborhood. Croll’s Bar and Pizza are within easy walking distance as is the beach and the Farmer’s Market.
I was actually sad when my work was completed and it was time to give the apartment up. Treated fairly by the management who returned my deposit promptly.
I will remember living at the Neptune Court fondly.

I lived there for 3 years. I had their nicest apartment, so my experience might have been better than others. But it was nice, quiet, beautiful. Plenty of parking.
All bills were covered in rental charge, no lease needed, low deposit.
I had been there for 2 months when they allowed me to get a dog, so I rescued a pitbull from the pound. She was always welcomed. Her vet was within walking distance. It was a nice place to have a dog– pretty walking trails nearby. We used to walk down to Crab Cove Beach and then cut over to Washington park for the dog park.
They always came to take care of repairs the same day I called them.
It’s an older place– built in the 1920’s. Has a lot of charm.
Lots of things within walking distance– banks, post office, bus lines, restaurants, laundromats, hair and nail places– even a little store for the necessities. Oh– I used to love to walk to the Farmer’s market!

Lived here for a few months — LOVE these apartments!
HERE’S WHY:

1.) Month-to-month rent terms!
2.) Smaller than most security deposit + reasonable pet deposit (they allow dogs here, too)!
3.) Many apt sizes including quaint studios!
4.) Beautiful grounds (see pic of center fountain in courtyard)!
5.) All bills paid! Woohoo! And free cable!
6.) Under 2 blocks away from Crab Cove, the SF BAY, the beach, and a huge park!
7.) Only a few miles from a BART station!
8.) TONS of parking (half covered) in a private, free parking lot.
9.) Near tons of restaurants & shopping.
10.) Built 1925 & used to be a Neptune Beach resort!
(An Alameda historical building!)
***THAT’S JUST TO NAME A FEW REASONS!***
. So yeah. Great apt homes.
I recommend checking ‘em out!!!
