Relaxing Rex Canine Massage

Anastastia is wonderful. I sought out a therapist for my senior girl after she developed vestibular disease, which caused her to fall down a lot and wobble even after she recovered. All that crashing down and bracing herself just ruined her body. She was so stiff, and I could tell she was just depressed and uncomfortable. Anastastia to the rescue! After a couple of sessions, my girl’s spirit lifted. She was able to climb the stairs on her own and is back to running and romping. She feels so good, she actually has started being bad! (Little counter surfer…) I’m so grateful for her insight and magic hands, and I can tell my girl gets so much benefit from her work. Plus, after each massage, my dog is so relaxed, she passes out for two hours! Ha!

I met Anastasia at a K9 Open House where I had brought my Rozzie-​Bear with me. She immediately picked up on the fact that my girl has congenital hip dysplasia in both hips from the mini massage she was giving her…
She’s given my girl two massages so far, in our home (+ one blueberry facial, don’t forget to ask for that!) and Roz has loved it! Anastasia is gentle where she needs to be and is firm with her pressure as needed. Roz basically just laid down this last time and let Anastasia do her thing! I love watching my girl be pampered…
Anastasia also knows a lot about K9 nutrition and because of her suggestions, my girl is now eating customized homemade diet now… no more kibble for my girl!

I took my young, energetic and easily-​distracted mini-​dachshund, Peabody, to Anastasia for her first-​ever massage. We started with some outside walking so Anastasia could evaluate Pea’s gait and other elements (her intake form, which you can fill out in advance, also asks for lots of good info).
When we went inside, Pea was a little distracted by the yummy (and healthy) doggie treats she got, being in a new place, and all the other things going on, and really wouldn’t settle. Anastasia just let her be and eased Peabody into it. I was so impressed with Anastasia’s patience and easy manner. Pea wasn’t sure what was going on, and wasn’t too big on the whole thing at first, but by the end, she was lying down and resting quietly between us, and Anastasia was able to work a good part of her body. This is major! My idea was to get Pea started with massage early in her life, as a preventative/​maintenance therapy… but I knew it would take a bit to get her into it. Anastasia’s manner is just the thing.
Anastasia also has a strong interest in canine nutrition, and was great to talk to about diet, options, etc. She has a very holistic sensitivity and sensibility.
We can’t wait to see her again!

Anastasia is not only a wonderful CMP for our dog, Levi but Levi LOVES her. This is somewhat amazing in that Levi is a rescue dog who was majorly abused in the past and takes some time to warm up to new people. With Anastasia, he was giving her kisses within minutes and he truly enjoyed his massage. Having massage done on your dog at home is very beneficial, even more so because they don’t have to climb back into a car for the ride home. I highly recommend Anastasia’s servicea!

My dog LOVES LOVES Anastasia! She is very thorough in her evaluations and with the massages. She is very patient and gentle with my dog and even appreciates all his kisses (he’s sort of a lover like that). She’s incredibly knowledgeable about all things dog and has made some excellent suggestions regarding diet, exercise, bathing, etc. In my opinion, she’s reasonably priced and it’s worth spoiling my pup. She’s quick to pick up on any changes in his walk, stretches and even on his skin. I have learned a lot from her and although I’m so sad she’s leaving SD, we wish her the best in SF!

I doubt my poor pit bull ever received a massage before I brought her to the Relaxing Rex booth at the Doggie Street Festival a few weeks ago. Naturally, she was nervous when she was put on the massage table, and tried to make a break for it almost immediately. Anastasia was wonderful with her, however, and by the time the massage time was up, my dog didn’t want to leave the table. It was so wonderful to watch her relax under Anastasia’s attentive care.
