I found Rusty via the folks at Oakland Crush. I wanted some floating shelves for a bar, and the shelving at Oakland Crush looked amazing. So I contacted Rusty and traded a few pics of the space, along with a rough sketch of what I wanted the shelves to look like. He called me a little later and mentioned that he was finishing up a big job for a well-​known NFL player who used to play at Cal. «Damn,» I thought to myself, «I probably can’t afford this guy…»
Nevertheless, 2 weeks later he came by to install everything. All I can say is that my bar looks fantastic, the quality of the work is unreal, and the bill was more than reasonable. Awesome work, Rusty!

Rusty is a master craftsman with the vision of an artist. When remodeling our kitchen, we were frightened by the idea of standard cabinetry but realized that an eclectic mix of pieces which we envisioned would not provide practicable workspace. Our contractor put us in touch with Rusty who had the magic wand to put our dream into reality. He helped us to design the kitchen we wished for and built one of a kind cabinetry that nailed it. Rusty is extremely patient, fun to work with, and a man of his word. You rock Rusty!

We had the daunting task of shortening curved pews in a temple to allow wider aisles. The work had to be exact, seamless, finished, professional, and had to be done quickly. Rusty Dobbs to the rescue! Not only did he get it done beautifully, he came in under budget and ahead of schedule. Flawless finished carpentry. See photos for the finished result!

Wow! This guy is amazing! I took my son to by some shoes at district, and couldnt help noticing the amazing shelves, and walnut benches! I highly recomend Rusty. :]

Master Finish Carpenter Rusty Dobbs is AMAZING. If there were a way to give 20 stars, I would. On a kitchen cabinet refacing his estimate was half the bid of the Home Depot contractor, less time, and using better materials. He brought in solid wood doors and drawers with dovetail joinery, in a design that works very well with the original architectural details. Advised that I replace a lower cupboard with large drawers — they work brilliantly with exceptional drawer glides. He is as good as his word, and his craftsmanship is simply beautiful!
I wish you could see my kitchen now!
