By far the worst experience I’ve ever had, I walked in asking for a taper and line and not to touch my sideburns, I told the barber I was growing it out. I don’t think this barber knows what a taper and a line is. I will never go back to this shop.

Super chill, old school barber, Dick knows what he’s doing. Great convo, down to earth genuine what you expect from a barber. Impressed, he knew every ones name! Talk about customer service, I’m not even in the chair yet! I show him a picture of an Old school classic hamlet, with a medium taper, he executed it.

Basic haircuts for boys. good old fashioned barber, been doing it forever, doesn’t take forever and doesn’t dye hair. Just fixed what the cousin did. to my son.

Steve is really good at what he does. Doesn’t charge a lot and does a great job! I come in here about once a month I don’t need an appointment or anything like that. I get what would be called a «pompadour» cut, leave the top as is, and really short around the sides and back. Very old school spot.

Furious. Trusted Steve’s judgment on how to trim my hair, and I agreed. Then he proceeded to cut off all of my hair. How do you fail so badly at communicating as a barber? The only hair he left was bangs that look so bad that I look like a 10 year old boy out of the 90s. I don’t want my money back, I want my hair back.

Been growing my hairout for 4 months. Went in for high fade, got scalped sooo badly, I had to go back down to a No1. These guys are just clueless. We need a barbershop in Alameda!!!

Steve is great. I walked in and got a cut which looks great in 15 minutes. This place definitely reminds me of the old-school barber shops I went to growing up. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Alameda.

I’m usually suspicious of 5 star reviews but in this case they were sure right. I just had my first haircut there with Steve, probably the best haircut I’ve had in years. The price is what I’m use to paying $ 18.00 but I sure got a better cut. This is truly the type of shop I’ve been look

Just returned from a cut by Steve. Solid, fast and relatively inexpensive. Nice guys Steve and Dick. Definitely give them a try. Old school in a very good way.

New to Alameda I had to find my new spot to get the head trimmed. Found it. Old school barbershop. Great feel to the place and I can walk there from my house. Outstanding service and being the new guy I was made to feel welcome. Steve is the man. I have not met Dick yet but I hear great things about him too.

My Barber of ten years past last year and I came across The Razors Edge. I am so happy to find the good old fashion barber shop and so close to home. I am hooked and only go there for my haircuts now. GOBIGRED !

Yo, son. Steve is the man. This has been my regular joint since moving to the Town. Other than Betty & Nick’s in Chicago(home of the old school $ 5 razor fade), this is my favorite OG barbershop. Get your head right, ya punks.

Fantastic real-life barbers, and interesting people as well. Always a pleasant conversation, and a great haircut as well. Couldn’t like it more.

Awesome little find! All I can say is that it’s real hard to find businesses that pay attention to the little things nowadays, and Steve sure has mastered the art. My best friend’s bachelor party is next week, so I couldn’t go to Vegas with the Euro-Mullet that I’ve been rockin’ the last few days. My hair looks better now than any high-priced salon visit that I can remember. What’s more, Steve told me to come back the day before I fly out and he would do a touch up for no charge. Service, good cuts, humor, and Playboys… now that’s a barber!
