Subway

Not every Subway is the same! We happened to be in the neighborhood today and it was lunch time. I was going to try the sushi place nearby but my son wanted to have a Subway sandwich. Be warned! The workers are skimpy! I asked for lettuce, tomatoes, black olives and janapeno peppers for my sandwich but I got about half the amount that I usually get in another Subway in our neighborhood. They didn’t even give us napkins after we paid for the sandwiches. I had to turn around and asked them for some. Never go there again!

Horrible service. The sandwich artist looked so confused. All I asked him to do was not toast the sandwich. Mind you all I got was a pastrami sandwich. Which means all I wanted him to do is heat up the meat. I’ve never had an issue with any other subways except for this one. He stared at me for what seemed like a good 10 seconds. By the way he was staring at me you think I should ask him to build a nuclear bomb. Finally the manager came over and said all he wants you to do is toast to meet and he looked at me and then I said yes. After that he seem to have a snotty attitude every time I would ask him to add something to my sandwich. Maybe it was just him and he was having a bad day Emily give me a two stars because it’s a two minute walk from my house. In the future I’d say go to Safeway and get a sandwich and avoid this place based on the service alone.

The attitude of the fellow who typically works in the morning is really negative. He always has a scowl on his face and very argumentative. I asked him to reheat my breakfast since it was cold. He was really annoyed and said he already heated my egg sandwich and reluctant to reheat so I left my meal on the counter and walked out. Jerk is a kind word for this guy. He has no clue how to deal with customers. He is really hurting the business. The owner should pay attention to the folks he employs if he wants to grow his business. There are a lot of alternatives in Alameda for breakfast.

Had the Worst cookie ever, wasnt completely cooked And tasted anything but not Like cookie. The 6′ was average. Although its a sunny day the table outside were not set so i had to sit in the crowded inside.

Stopped by for a quick sandwich, the guy working on New Year’s Day thurs afternoon hates his job or hates his life. Rude, unwelcoming, was visibly annoyed when I ordered multiple sandwiches. Terrible service. Said to me «you don’t need me to mark your sandwiches right?» Seriously bro?! Asked him for more olives he gave me exactly 2 more.
As for subway overall, when did they get rid of $ 5 subs? Does anyone even come here now that they don’t have that?
Going to get my sandwiches from safeway right next door for better sandwiches, better service and price.

Rude establishment… learn to smile and speak with an appropriate tone or you guys won’t last long.

HEADS UP… If you say you are dining-in…you get charged tax. However, if you tell them its «to-go»…no tax. The workers at this location is very sneaky. Even though you are taking your food to go they will charge you as a dine-​in customer. So always ask for your receipt and always check your receipt. Every penny adds up. This subway location should be ashamed of themselves.

I’ve been really enjoying subway up until my last few visits to this location. Today’s visit, I came in with a VALID coupon and the cashier completely scrutinized it before ringing it up. And the coupon was buy a sandwich and drink, and receive a free 6 inch sandwich free. Well the girl ends up charging me $ 6 after I gave her my credit card, and she gave me my receipt. I asked her for the drink and she says it will be more for that. So my total would have been over $ 8 for the sandwich and drink. Whats the point of the coupon? And please tell these guys to stop looking at the customers that have valid coupons, like we’re trying to rip them off. Its really sad that this lady is so cheap with your coupons. Every single time I go there, the employees try to get every penny they can out of me and if my coupon doesn’t meet their own requirements, they charge me more. There are so many places I can go for sandwiches and its sad that these guys are so rude about their pricing and coupons. There is another guy in there that I think is the owner and whenever I deal with him, hes always very kind and never balks at my coupons. I wont be returning to Subway anymore!

One star, deserved if that. .I love subway ! All but this one I had order one cheese. And recieved. another, asked for extra mayo it did not happen. The next surprise when I got home I said my prayer after I ate… I was in pain, I am serious not only was the bread hard. My soda had no carbonation now I think was this steak? I don’t think so.,.take down the subway sign you don’t deserve it… I m glad I did not try out the restroom… this is a real shame to other subways.

Just about everyone knows about Subway sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Oven Roasted Chicken Sandwich on either Honey Oat or Wheat bread.
Sometimes I’ll try whatever $ 5 Footlong sandwich is being promoted that month. Good deals, Good food, and Good service makes this spot «A-​ok»

Pros: subway is subway this one isn’t any different. You get here what you would expect sandwiches that are average for average cost to cheap. Service is good, people are friendly.
Cons: it’s subway so not high end sandwiches but they’re decent.

This subway is getting better. The food got better. The service is getting better. They have sourdough beard. The place is clean. One of the best subways in Alameda (the other one is on Park St.).

I usually don’t go to subway but since I needed a quick lunch and it’s conveniently located by my house. The service was pretty bad. I asked what kind of cheeses they had and the guy just pointed to a tub of white cheeses. I took a guess and said Swiss hoping it was one of them and he began throwing the cheese on the sandwich. He was very stingy with each ingredient I asked for. I ordered a footlong and got enough fillings for a 6 inch. I had to keep asking for more of everything. My sandwich tasted like just lettuce, tomatoes and a little bit of chicken in every other bite.

This is ok subway, but I will support it. In this small island, supporting small business is important, I think.

This place is like walking into Florida, the heat from the ovens is quite apparent. Soda tastes flat or light on the syrup, I don’t know.

Went to this Subway with another coupon. When I went to buy my sandwich, the guy behind the counter said that my coupon didn’t apply to «premium» sandwiches, only to «regular» sandwiches. Fine print. Sigh.

This subway is ok. The service is mediocre. Not very fast even when you know what you want and the order in which to order it. Ingredients are decent. Lettuce is always green, so I know it’s fairly fresh. As for the meat on the sandwiches, talk about stingy. My meat sandwiches, if it includes deli cut slices, is almost invisible… it’s pretty much a vegetarian sandwich. As for the chicken sandwiches, the meat is visible, just not vey plentiful. Sandwiches still taste good. They just look nothing like the pictures on the board or in the ads.
Location is good, right next to Safeway in the shopping center. Parking is in the shared lot — no meters.

I regularly eat at Subway places. For some reason, this one doesn’t taste good. The food tastes… like it has paper bag in it. It is just odd. I have eaten here five times or so. Each time, gristly meat, odd tastes…
It is convient due to it’s location, but it tastes so bad I can’t finish the sandwich…

my go to place, i eat subway every day because its part of my diet. five weeks ago i was 213, im now 182 subway played a huge part in that by getting me off the junk food. i love the staff they are so… friendly, and helpful. the other plus it’s right next door to my gym, so when im done getting my sweat on, i can carb up…

I like where it is very much and the sandwiches are good for me.
Just that lady that did my sandwich was disturbed or having a bad say. she looked really sad and therefore was putting her bad looks like if I did something to her.
Anyways it’s all good, plenty of seating.
