Zolo Coffee Roasters had their«fast» coffee cheaper than their«slow» coffee, so went for that. . typical expresso, cap, latte offerings. locale: danville farmers market(12⁄5) brew: farmhouse french(2.75) –smooth, mellow, not bold, easy sipping –many other brews offered, probably pourovers or drip… drips: –definitely one of the better pours at farmers markets.

Great coffee a must stop every Saturday, but today they are hurting. Super long wait coffee and product out! You know what they say«Don’t get high on your own supply!» Well Zolo needs to grab a gallon mug a get busy!

Found them at the Alameda Point Antiques Faire this past weekend. The menu is basic, with hot chocolate and different coffee drinks. I’ve got to say, my favourite thing about Zolo was the tip jars. Just put some change(or bills, they’re worth a larger tip) in one of the jars and get either a random fact or cheesy joke in return! They actually had a table and some stools out front by the window of the tent, like a little coffee bar! The guy making the drinks chatted with us while he made our drinks, and he was super nice. My mocha latte was adorable, with the little heart in the cream on top. There were four of us who ordered four different things and all were delicious! I heard that the hot chocolate wasn’t overly sweet like some other places, that the«fast» coffee tasted like it took much longer to make, and I must say the mocha was delicious. Not too sweet and not too bitter, just how I like it! My mom was ordering an iced latte, but the lady there suggested a New Orleans blend(I believe) that was brewed overnight over ice and wasn’t as watery… and right she was! It was not watered down coffee like a lot of other places. Overall, I don’t have anything less than wonderful things to say!

I sampled both the cappuccino and their Mocca Java — both that I rate outstanding for the following reasons: Cappuccino — properly finessed with an excellent balance of floral notes followed by a chocolate finish. The temperature was perfect with the correct balance of espresso and milk that has been heated to the proper temperature. I believe that pulling the correct shot of espresso and adding the appropriate volume of steamed milk is both an art and science. The barrista is in my opinion an «expert» artisan scientist. Mocha Java — nicely balanced blend of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Indonesian Java that offers unique floral overtones and an earthy finish. Although not the«classic blend» with Yemen Mocha, this blend is quite satisfying with its artfully crafted blend that is perhaps more fragrant than the«traditional» blend. Service — outstanding because of the attention to detail — pouring a true six ounce cup, answering all questions related to coffee, and general enthusiasm for their product. I truly appreciate when the coffee purveyor is proud of their coffee beverages yet demonstrates a rare quality of recognizing the broad spectrum of tastes shared by coffee consumers. Zolo’s coffee is featured at several farmers’ markets — I sampled a competitor’s product that is prominently featured in a national food market chain and was underwhelmed. I look forward to future experiences with Zolo’s products!

We’ve developed a bag a week habit of Mamazolo’s Classic. Started out just looking forward to a nice cup every Saturday at the Danville Farmers Market. Now we have a great espresso machine and I’ve already had plenty of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted by the time I get to shopping. Nice family too. I am a huge and very loyal fan. Oh, I almost forgot. One time they ran out of our favorite. We paid for a bag and they delivered it to our doorstep that afternoon. How cool is that?

macchiato, macchiato! I’ve tried them at craft and chains throughout the world and Zilo is hands down the winner. Yes, I’m including Blue Bottle, Stumptown, etc. Super drips Farmhouse drip also.

If you have never had pure fresh roasted coffee, this is your place. Dave and his family are incredibly passionate about their coffee and do a wonderful job brewing some of the most best cup of coffees you probably will ever have. Their hospitality makes you feel welcomed. Their coffee wakes you up… And keeps you up :) I am so happy to have been honored to meet this incredible family and taste such fresh coffee. Caution: Dave will in fact turn you into a coffee fanatic. He has me brewing my own cups of coffee in my dorm room at college. Thank you for my new obsession.

We’ve walked past their tent at the Danville farmers’ market more times than I can count and finally decided to grab something this week. Though, we should have just walked on by like every other time before. I was in the mood for a good hot chocolate since there was a chill in the air. So we ordered one for me and one for my kids to share. I have never had a worse hot chocolate. The flavor was horrible and lacked any resemblance to chocolate. Swiss Miss makes a better hot chocolate. After a couple of sips, I stopped drinking because it was a waste of calories. So I can’t comment on their coffee, but avoid the hot chocolate at all costs. You will regret it.

Their lattes here are absolutely delicious. We will be regulars here for sure, buying bags of coffee and barista-made espressos and lattes.

Tried this at the Danville farmer’s market. The guy definitely knows coffee, how to roast it and how to make good espresso drinks. Coffee was good. Not 5 star good, but good. Blue Bottle and Philz still the best I’ve had.

Great family run business with incredible potential! I was more than impressed with their quality of coffee AND customer service! They genuinely care about their customers well-being and always seem to be the hit of the farmers market. Not to mention the brothers’ charm and good looks! Their excellent coffee is definitely what separates them from most, however. From the pour overs to the espresso, everything is made carefully and with beautifully roasted beans. They have expert knowledge of the market and really know how to roast beans to bring out the ultimate flavors. I am always eager to see what new beans they have discovered and masterfully roasted each week. Their take-home bagged beans have become the only coffee I brew at home now as well. I’ve become a frequent visitor of their stand at the farmers market in Danville and am expecting them to expand into the coffee realm of San Francisco very soon. Congrats guys, you’ve really found a way to artfully bring the joy back into a cup of coffee!

These guys have some legit coffee! Tried their stand at the Danville farmer’s market and was not let down. Still, not quite at the level of blue bottle coffee, but definitely by far and away the best you can get in this area. Well sourced coffee, and made to perfection!

I’m a coffee snob. I don’t go to Starbucks. Maybe Peets if I’m desperate. But we’re limited out in the burbs! I’m accustomed to coffee places in SF and Oakland, such as Blue Bottle, Site Glass, Four Barrels etc. because I frequent those areas. I was shocked to find ZOLO at the Danville Farmers Market close to Walnut Creek where I live! FINALLY my prayers have been answered! ZOLO Coffee Roasters makes me happy with their freshly roasted beans, pour overs, and espresso drinks. Whether I’m craving a black cup of coffee, a soy latte, a shot of espresso or buying a pound of beans for home, the ZOLO team takes good care of me and the quality of their product is spot on! The customer service can’t be beat, because it’s a family run business. The dad is running the booth with his sons and the mom is sitting behind the booth supervising! Roasted in Danville, sold in Danville! You can’t get any more local than this! Now I can say that we have a high quality coffee place in the burbs! Thank you ZOLO!

Zolo Coffee roasts in Alamo and every Saturday morning roasts at the Danville Farmers Market. We fell in love with this coffee first in the form of a cup of fresh brewed hot coffee or cold brewed iced coffee. They now serve Italian style espresso and espresso drinks. We soon staring getting our just roasted whole beans at the Farmers Market for our coffee during the week. We also understand they also do coffee for events and catering when not at the market. I wish we could find Zolo Coffee at the local restaurants.

The service is great — everyone is smiling and helpful and knowledgable. It’s definitely worth stopping by and getting a cup or buying a bag of beans!

Zolo Coffee Roasters make the best coffee that I’ve had in the area! It’s flavorful, delicious, and they are very informed and passionate about their product. I’m normally somebody who always puts cream and sugar in my coffee, but theirs tastes so good that I usually forgo it. I also love how they are a family-run business who are always friendly and fun to talk to. I definitely recommend you give them a try :)
