Everything tastes good. But the pastel dough was a bit too thick and small than the traditional, The coxinha was amazing. I requested more beans than meat in my feijoada and I got the opposite just meat no beans.

The Brazilian burger, from a distant it looked very small and was worried that I wasn’t going to be full, it turned out that it was of the juiciest and most delightful burgers I’ve ever tasted, I also had a blue moon smoothie, which was very refreshing! Everything is a little pricey but considering everything fresh nonetheless it was well worth it, def. will be back shortly

What a cute little spot in Albany Park! The calabesa sausage and onions were delicious, the meat in the steak and mango salad was cooked perfectly. Loved the Copacabana smoothie. The place had a modern feel and smelled amazing. Husband really enjoyed the fried plantains and his Rainforest smoothie. We will be back!

Ordered a bowl at lunchtime on a weekday. Service was very friendly and so, so fast. Food was delicious. Loved the low-key atmosphere with a variety of seating options. Hearing the staff speak Portuguese was an added bonus!

Small portions for the price paid but very very tasty. I’m a grown boy, I need my food. Was a 3⁄5 stars but then they started playing DMB and I tasted the rest of my bowl = 4⁄5 stars.

Delicious, authentic, cheap, Brazilian street eats. First time going was absolutely floored at the taste of the food. I got a veggie and kale salad as well as the Ipanema smoothie. My friends got bowls and said they felt light but full after eating. I would recommend this place over Chipotle or other casual eats. Amazing.

I hate to give this place 3 stars because the food is actually pretty good but the service hasn’t been the best the 2 times I’ve gone. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know mistakes happen– we went in and ordered(mind you there was only one table occupied in the restaurant) and sat down to wait…20 mins went by and nothing. I was wondering what was going on but I noticed people picking up food so I thought they might just be backed up. Well 5 mins after that I went in to the counter and asked what was going on with our order, they had forgotten about us. And we were the ONLYTABLEWAITING at this point. They excused themselves and like 5 mins after that we had our food. We ordered two of the bowls, one chicken, and one beef. It was delicious and I thought to myself, I’ll give it another shot. The second time the restaurant was busier which worried me, and they still took long but not as long although afterwards when we ordered dessert it literally took like 15 mins for one smoothie and three desserts that were already packaged. The place is good but they desperately need to work on their timing and their customer service.

I am not happy with the customer service. This place is super slow when it comes to having it delivered. It’s way past the delivery time and I still haven’t received my food. I hope this food is good because the wait is ridiculous. I don’t think I’ll order for delivery from here again. Really disappointed.

My homie was talking about how great this place was. I didn’t care. I was HUNGRY. Then the food was late. Then the food was real late. Then I was hangry. Then I had some. Five stars.

The northwest corner of Lawrence and Kedzie has been an incredibly unsuccessful corner for restaurants over the years. Despite a murderer’s row of good to excellent restaurants(or perhaps because of it?) dishing out food on this stretch of Kedzie, a parade of restaurants have tried and failed at this location. When I heard that Brazilian Bowl was opening at this spot, I was initially a bit skeptical about what this place would be like. I ordered some takeout yesterday, and I was impressed by the decent-sized crowd(mostly younger folks) sitting in the restaurant. I have visited Brazil before, and the displays of various Brazilian goods(soft drinks, candies etc) brought back some sugary memories from my travels. After staring at the menu briefly, I ordered the feijoada, a stew called«Brazil’s national dish» that is loaded with various pork cuts along with black beans. BB’s version also comes with rice, collard greens, pico de gallo, and something called farofa which is some sort of cream-colored powdery grain topping. I have had feijoada in Brazil and it’s a very hearty dish, with very fatty cuts of meat. BB’s version is perhaps the healthiest version I have ever tried, as the meats seem leaner, and the veggie toppings complement the tasty chunks of meat. I also tried a guava /cheese pastel which was just an ok dessert emopanada. Perhaps it is much better when warmed up. The menu has many other interesting choices in the appetizers, side items and desserts columns, so I guess I will have to come back to Brazialian Bowl and try a bunch of these items along with another order of terrific feijoada.

This place is perfection. Super friendly and fast service, diverse and flavorful menu, really nice inside. It puts other fast casual restaurants(i.e. Chipotle) to shame in terms of service and food quality. I got the chicken bowl, BF got the Feijoada. Both were amazing, though we agreed the chicken bowl won. GOHERENOWANDTELLYOURFRIENDS.

Really good burritos. Painfully slow service. If you have some time to sit there and wonder about the mysteries of life while 4 people take 30 minutes to make a burrito, I say go for it. Really good portion sizes and the ingredients taste fresh. Otherwise, grab Chipotle. *No idea why this place serves burgers…

Stop by for a quick lunch. Place was very nice, clean, a contemporary vibe to it with a nice sofa and great long tables with cork benches. Food is beautiful presented on this wooden bowls. I had the traditional Brazilian dish called«feijoada». It hit the spot. Was flavorful and plenty for myself. I also had the«prestigious» cake with chocolate and fresh coconut. Tasted like home(I’m Brazilian) I will be back.

This place probably has a nice bathroom Beautiful presentation. Tasty. Filling. Nice setting. A restaurant that lets the customer get their own water in a way that made me feel empowered. 10⁄10 will dine again

Took my picky son to lunch there and he loved it. He couldn’t stop talking about the flavors in the steak bowl. I have to agree with him. In a time when food in bowls is all the rage and riffs on Chipotle style fast casual are all around us, this is a place that has something new to offer. I had the steak bowl with the mango salsa and I was impressed. I’m going to disagree with some other reviewers about portion sizes. I ordered the half bowl and was stuffed. The large bowls look intimidating to me. Albany and Rogers Park offer many places to get some of the staples here(fried yucca and plantain, etc…) but these guys do it right and have a lot of great offerings we’re going to have to go back for.

This is a relatively new place in the neighborhood, and I’m glad I finally had a chance to stop in. I ordered the Carnival smoothie(acai, strawberry, guarana, coconut milk) and the Brazilian Bowl. I highly recommend Carnival smoothie – it was addicting and I couldn’t stop sipping it. It’s not too sweet and you can taste the berry flavors with a slightest hint of coconut milk. The Brazilian bowl I ordered had sausage and the mango sauce. The flavors were delicious and I could taste that the ingredients that they used were fresh. I was a bit disappointed with the portion size though, and I would have liked to got 3 pieces of sausage rather than 2. Also, there are various sauces provided at each table for you to customize it(Brazilian garlic sauce, green cholula, and a red spicy sauce that I can’t recall the name of). The restaurant is fast casual, and their Brazilian bowl concept is similar to Chipotle or the like. They also have regular dishes on the menu, as well as choices for dessert. I did like the modern, cozy design and that it was very clean. They also sell food items and drinks from Brazil by the cashier. It’s a short walk from the Kedzie and Kimball brown line stops, which makes it pretty accessible for those in the area.

I absolutely love the décor of this place, very modern and trendy. The food is delicious as well. I had the shrimp bobo, a fruit smoothie, and the coconut truffles. The truffles were do delicious, I took 5 to go! I will definitely be back, as all the food I tried was totally delicious.

You gotta check this place out! The Fejoida… really delicious and a complete meal. The staff are super nice and the atmosphere/layout/design is modern, clean and because the storefront wraps the corner — lots of natural light. Satya

I LOVEEVERYTHINGBRAZILIAN! Samba, Carnaval, Capoeira, Caipirinhas, just to name a few. This place is even better than their original place on Broadway!!! Omg!!! Love, love everything they serve! Must try the Pao de Queijo, hot mini bread stuffed with mozzarella… I call them, little hot pillows of heaven! The traditional dish of Brazil, Feijoada, an amazing sausage and black bean stew served over white rice. Just go and tell Tony, the owner I sent ya! He’ll take good care of you and teach you about his wonderful Brazilian culture! Gostoso! Delicioso!

Really tasty food. The feijoada is really authentic. Looking forward to returning. The décor is inviting and it seems like it will be a nice place to hang out and drink coffee. They do need to sort out their make up air and hood exhaust!

I am so happy they’ve opened up near me ! This place does everything well, especially the acai bowl and empanadas. Been told by my Brazilian friends it’s quite authentic. Just need to open up in the Loop where I work.

Ordered the pork loin Brazilian bowl, with guacamole and black beans. DELICIOUS. Generous amounts of pork loin(more like a ton of pork loin), and everything mixed together very well(snap pea pods, red onions, kale, cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, corn, rice). Yum. Ordered the Ipanema and Copacabana smoothies. Also very tasty. Beef empanada tasted good, but there is hardly any filling, so be wary. The interior is clean and modern, a small space towards the back which houses a couple of TVs, a small couch and a couple of seats around a coffee table with a mini chess board. There’s also a little grocery area at the front. Hopefully, this restaurant sticks around in this spot. Good start!

Ordered an empanada which was frozen inside. When I brought it up to the counter I was not greeted with an apology but more of a quizzical look. Had to ask 15 minutes later where was the replacement? To which I was told it’s coming. It’s an improvement for what was previously here but food is only a C+ for the price and don’t care for the service. I am not so experienced with Brazilian food and this is not an upscale place but didn’t have a level of bang that I could get from other not too upscale restaurants, unfortunately. My daughter described her dining experience here as «I’d say my dish tasted like something that was prepared sometime ago that was reheated.»

Excited to see this new restaurant open in our neighborhood, just a short walk away, and that it is BYOB. Went over for dinner on a cold, snowy evening and were surprised to find that they charge a $ 3.00BYOB fee FOREACHPERSON in the party. We raised objection to this, but were still charged for each person. On this basis, a larger party(of which there were several that evening) with, say, eight people, would pay a fee for $ 24.00! A nominal fee would have been OK, but this seems ridiculous and excessive for just opening a bottle and providing glasses. We joked that if we come again we will bring an already opened bottle of wine and our own plastic glasses. Had the beef stroganoff which was really good, especially the rice base. It comes topped with unusual crispy little potato strips which add flavor and a nice crunchy texture to the dish. Had the chocolate coconut cake for dessert. It was really flavorful, moist, not too sweet, and was a generous portion for two to share. The staff was friendly but a bit bumbling(understandable as they just opened) but could definitely use more training. They use paper plates and plastic forks which is not great, but acceptable at this price point. Will probably go back, but they definitely need to reconsider their BYOB policy.

The shrimp bobo was awesome, and my hubby got the Brazilian national dish plate, which he said was really good. The Brazilian limeade is spectacularly tangy just enough to be good but not overwhelming. The restaurant space is clean amd the staff is very friendly. Since it is a new place, they are still training, but we had no issues. And they have a cute grocery section, too.
