Abbott’s Food Center

There was absolutely no selection in product whether it was a soft drink, chips or candy. The store shelves were bare. The staff wasn’t very friendly. The trash cans right outside of the doors were disgusting. The smell was unbearable.

This is a country store that has everything from cold drinks to gas to food to lotto as well as a breakfast and lunch counter in the back. Clean bathrooms as well.
When we lived in Albany, it was a frequent stop on our bike rides. Miss Janice and The Cowboy were always there cooking and served up a reasonably priced, (one might even say cheap) meal with a smile to accomodate our large group with delicous food. And fast! We stood out in our spandex cycling clothes — but there is a diverse group of folks that eats there, from hunters to families to us crazy bikers. Everyone is made to feel welcome.
We were back in town last weekend and stopped back in for a quick breakfast. Nothing has changed! Same friendly service and delicious hot and fresh food.
The store also has a fresh meat and sausage case there looks good, but I’ve never purchased any meats as they would be hard to transport in my jersey pocket.
