Since my very«sophisticated«ADT Pulse system was installed over a year ago, my upper floor smoke detectors have gone off many, many times. In every case it was a false alarm, but ADT automatically calls the fire department before calling the home owner to see if it is an actual fire. So the poor local volunteer fire department has been to the house about five or six times at all hours. ADT has replaced all of the alarms a few times now, but it happened again yesterday, and after being prompted to confirm my address and issue, I was placed ONHOLD and then when a customer«service» rep got on the line they asked me my address and issue. Why ask me the same questions twice? Anyhow, clueless and slow customer service, and they still won’t be able to fix my problem when they come out AGAIN. I’ve asked them to look into replacing the three smoke detectors on my upper floor with heat detectors(I’ll just buy smoke alarms, myself, that won’t be monitored by ADT). Problem is that they want to charge me over $ 100 per heat detector, plus labor. All this for something they’ve been unable to fix since the system was new. When I spoke to a «supervisor» he was rude and said that a tech should be able to fix the alarms. Despite my telling him that a tech has not been able to do so, he just kept saying the same thing like a broken record. Really? This is the type of person they make a customer service supervisor? Think twice about ADT. Do you really want poor customer service and being put on hold during an emergency???
