Albany Strength

The best supplement store/​gym hands down. The only store you can put in an order to Hawaii late on a Monday night and receive it Wednesday afternoon. All products are priced under both
and GNC. John and his employees are knowledgeable in all of their products and extremely friendly. Have been shopping at Albany strength for the past 3 years and have yet to be disappointed.

First real gym I’ve been to. Only got to spend a month here, and it really helped me.
The environment is positive and geared towards progress.
Not some commercial gym.

nice gym, close to home. just for raw and beef people. beginners will feel complex seeing them. A gym for professionals.

Very serious gym no tv, pool, spa or any of that nonsense just you and the iron. They have some serious weights too. Dumbells up to 180 maybe even 200lbs not that I can even use them at the moment lol but still something to aspire to. They have loads of benches and squat racks which I love. The cost isn’t too expensive I believe ‚$ 40 for a month of $ 90 for three months which isn’t bad. Im thinking very hard about joining with them so far I like them alot more than other gyms in the area.

Albany Strength is the toughest gym in the Capital District. This is where the biggest & baddest competitors come to train. If you are weak, frail, timid or scared this is not the place to visit.
Albany Strength’s has more than enough equipment for everyone to use at once. Equipment such as;
A full range of Kettle Bells
Dumbbells up to 200 lbs.
Countless amount of 45 & 100 lbs. plates
A half dozen Benches
12 Squat racks/​Deadlift platforms
Glute Han Raise/​Reverse Hyper
Tires/​Sledge Hammers/​Sleds/​Prowlers
A massive selection of various bars
And more machines than you can count
The music is typically aggressive (Heavy Metal or Gangster Rap), the atmosphere is intense and the rates are cheap. In addition to being a gym, Albany Strength has an outstanding supplement store with prices lower than any supplement store on the web.
I highly recommend Albany Strength for any one serious about Powerlifting, Bodybuilding, MMA or strength training in general.

I am a crossfit defector and this is where I landed. It is $ 169 for the YEAR and I think the drop in rate is $ 5 so I’ve had a few other crossfit defector friends come and workout with me a few times. I can squat and deadlift to my heart’s content and play with kettlebells whenever I want to and my goal of actually doing a kettlebell competition might actually become a reality in 2015 since I now have time to do what I want and need.
There are very few women there when I go in the evening, so if that intimidates you, probably not the place for you. There is plenty of space and I’ve never had an issue finding space to do my work out during evening prime-​time. I only get a few strange looks when I do a kettlebell workout or a crossfit metcon. People are generally friendly and there is a lot of serious grown-​ass man strength in the house.
There is a cardio room and 2 rooms upstairs for boxing and some type of martial arts.
There is 1 whole star off because:
(1) the «pandora» selection blows! It does not include Ke$ha and Katy Perry (they are my PR jams! Guess I should probably find my ipod and suck it up buttercup)
(2) the kettlebells are «rough» (not competition style ;-()i rarely rip my hands doing KB skills and my hands are being shredded by these bad-​boys.
All-​in-​all it is a adequate replacement for crossfit for me for now. Now if only my job would stop getting in the way of my workouts, that would be super fantastic.

This is one of my favorite lifting gyms I’ve been too. Has all of the equipment needed for any type of strength training. The fact that they have upwards of 8 squat racks makes it really convenient for leg day. Chains, bands, bumper plates, pretty much anything a serious strength training person would need. The supplement shop is absolutely great, also the «house» protein is cost effective, tasty, and gives you a good supply of protein.

This is not a judgment free zone. In fact the people that work here are the judges for the competitions they have here.
There is real weight being thrown around here so don’t come here if your afraid different kinds of people doing what the love. Striving to break personal goals and set new ones.

A great no-​nonsense lifting gym. The cheap drop in rate makes it a treat for me when I am visiting my hometown.

This is a gym, not an aerobic facility, not a yoga studio. This is a power lifting; serious about getting fit gym. If you dont know how to use free weights, or most machines this might not be the spot for you.
I worked out here from out of town, $ 5 for a one day entry, no bs contracts or trials just five bucks.
It seemed like they had a pretty comprehensive supplements/​protein sales area.

If you are serious about accomplishing any fitness or strength related goal, train here. Seriously. Hands-​down the best no-​BS, high-​intensity gym that I have ever been to.
As for supplements, I don’t think there is another store (online or in-​person) that can match their prices and shipping time, which for me has been no more than a day or two.
