I visited on a Sunday morning within an hour of opening and the place wasn’t particularly busy but did get a lot of traffic over the next hour-and-a-half I spent in the store. The ladies working did a great job of working the floor, tending to individual customer needs, ringing purchases and doing a couple make-up applications(mine included). Jessica did my application and was extremely helpful since I’m a complete make-up noob… She walked me through all of the product lines, what to use, how to use it and proceeded to demonstrate on my face with all of the products we picked out. She gave me exactly the look I asked for and even gave me tips for an upcoming wedding I talked with her about and product suggestions for next time. There will definitely be a next time!

The store was busy when I got there — the only salesperson on the floor was giving a makeover, which is a problem when there are customers everywhere. However, when another salesperson came in, she was completely friendly and polite, despite the fact crowds and lines. I was having trouble loading my Friends and Benefits email to pick up my free sample lip gloss — not a problem. She knew exactly what I was talking about, found it immediately, and gave me the sample with no issues. I especially appreciated that she didn’t try to make me feel bad for only coming in to pick up my free gifts(unlike a sales associate in another Bare Minerals store I visited the week before).

I LOVE the Bare Escentuals line, and I use the Bare Minerals powder on my face every time I wear makeup. So can anyone guess why I buy my Bare Escentuals products at Sephora or online instead of at the Bare Escentuals store? Because of lousy service, that’s why. I get ignored, without fail, every time I’m in here. Nobody approaches me asking if I need help. In fact, on three separate visits I’ve approached a staff member only to have them snap at me that they’re with another customer – and this usually means two of them are waiting on the same little old lady getting a makeover. What is it with Yankees and their total inability to be polite? I don’t get it, but whatever, I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
