We hired Beacon to take care of my Dad, who came home from a skilled nursing facility onto hospice care. Shaun (Owner) and Niki (Office Manager) are absolute gems. They were flexible, caring and very responsive to our needs. The caregivers Lio, Bong and JR took meticulous, loving care of Dad and were a source of great support and hugs especially when Dad got to the end and we were all under great stress. Dad was treated like a Sultan; indulged with songs, conversations, massages and hand holding; his skin stayed pristine despite being bedridden, and he was well nourished. I recommend Beacon Home Care without any reservation. They are incredible. In the time we worked with Beacon, the caregivers became part of our family. Thank you for taking care of Dad– Lio, Bong and JR– you have our eternal gratitude!

Shaun the owner, is about as dedicated as you will find. He is incredibly generous with his time, efforts and he remains calm and friendly no matter the challenge. For example, we needed someone to come in and stay with my mom a few hours 3 – 4 days a week. After a few weeks, we suddenly needed overnight care for two of those days a week. With less than 24 hours notice, Shaun got it all in place. We continued to change our schedule, sometimes with little notice. Shaun would answer his phone any time of day, any day of the week. He answered the phone from Tahoe on the weekend, where he was (trying) to enjoy some downtime with his family. It was as if he was in his office. He still managed to get someone in place for us, with very little notice. I’m forever grateful for his tremendous efforts and commitment to us. I can not recommend this company highly enough!

Beacon Home Care was a great help to me and my family when we needed it the most. They provided great care givers. They were very knowledgeable and caring
to my mom (Rose) when she was being treated for Alzheimers. They would go out of their way to make sure her needs were being taken cared of. The caregivers were always on time and would stay late if they were ask to. Shaun Charles wound check
on a regular basis to make sure that all of her needs were met. On one of his visits, my mom needed her meds to be picked up. Without asking Shaun, he said I’ll go get them and he did. I will never forget that important gesture, he was there for us in time of needs. What a great manager and leader! Thanks Mr Charles.
I will highly recommend this health care agency. Their pricing was reasonable, staff were highly skilled and loving and they deliver their services on time. Above all, you can talk directly to the owner, Shaun Charles, which is very important because all our needs were urgent that time. More power to your agency!

Shaun Charles is a great resource at Beacon. He has provided rides for patients from their homes to various hospital locations including from Berkeley to stanford at short notice. He’s great at customer service and prices are very reasonable. I think the cancer center in Berkeley will continue using him as a valuable resource for our patients. Thanks Shaun!
