EXCELLENT! They converted an old Texaco station into a BBQ restaurant and this is some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had… and we’ve had a lot of BBQ.

I have loved Bo-Macks for years and last night did not disappoint. Was a bit bummed when they moved out to 34, but food is still awesome. Service was fantastic as always. also, I don’t normally smother my corn bread in butter, but when it comes to their honey butter, all bets are off.

The service at Bo-Mack’s is super friendly. You feel welcomed with a smile at the drive-thru. This location is right off of I-5 making it a ideal break from your typical fast food chains that linger in the middle of nowhere on the west coast’s longest stretch of freeway. We enjoyed the BBQ brisket with spicy BBQ sauce sandwich. It was good enough for us to try it twice while visiting friends nearby. It sorely needed more meat. If you do brisket that well, pile it on the sandwich for goodness sake. We should have asked for extra meat, and paid the price asked. The Caesar Salad I crammed down was unremarkable save that the lettuce was in good condition. I wouldn’t say no to another visit.

Everything was great here. the brisket was moist, the pulled pork was tender. all the sides are homemade and delicious. the cornbread was sweet and really good as well. it was a nice day and the outdoor seating was perfect.

Had a lot of BBQ in my life and this place is amazing ! The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. Had the brisket with Cole slaw and Mac and cheese. Hubby had the same but had green beans and it all was excellent. It may not loom like much from the outside but don’t let it fool you.

This was my first time at this location since they moved from 1st street in Albany. It made me sad. I guess I didn’t realize how much I went to the old Bo-Mack’s not only for the food, but for the sweet family that runs this place. I miss seeing mama perched behind the register, chatting up the diners as they come and go. Now it just feels impersonal. The food still tastes the same(except for the cornbread, which was *so* much better warmed and fresh out of the kitchen…), but it’s not as enjoyable with the traffic of Hwy 34 zooming by. And don’t even get me started on the barbecue sauce situation. A single, itty-bitty container of sauce for a two-meat meal just doesn’t cut it. I understand their reasons for moving, but too many elements of why I originally fell in love with this place are now gone or missing. We used to visit this place monthly. Now I can only imagine coming here once a year at best.

I love BBQ and really wanted this to be good but… $ 8 for a few pieces of dry, chewy brisket on a hot dog bun. Gave an extra star because the sauce was ok and service was friendly. Overpriced bad BBQ, I guess that’s what I’ve come to expect in the PNW.

Best Baby Back Ribs I’ve found in the valley and I have taken family and friends to Bo-Mack’s for years. I wish it was still at the old location though. I miss the indoor seating and missing menu items such as hush puppies. However, the highway noise and summer heat did not keep us away and we will continue to go back.

Delicious! Wonderful staff. The BBQ is some of the best I have ever had. I wish they still had indoor seating, but even a 100 degree day didn’t keep me from their BBQ and the outdoor tables.

Delish! Best brisket sandwich I’ve had in a long time! The meat was tender & both zesty sauce & sweet sauces were good. The green beans were flavorful while the Mac & Cheese was tasty too. Wudda given them 5 stars but their bathroom wasn’t working(porta potties only). I will definitely stop again when going through town!

Not sure what to say. I was a huge fan when they were in Albany… but not so much anymore. This family is wonderful, and I would love to see their new place take off. That being said, I am not going to be driving out to Hwy 5 a lot to get their food. This makes me sad, but I was very disappointed with my food every time I have visited since the move. Limited menu and limited on site eating space does not work in their favor. Driving with my food for 30+ minutes to take it home doesn’t really work well either. Even eating there, the food isn’t what it used to be. :( Trying to think of something constructive to say, but I got nuthin’. I hope things work out well for this place!

Been to Bo-Mack’s BBQ many times on 1st in Albany, yum! But what a surprise and disappointment to see where they moved to and that it is no longer a restaurant but a take away only. Cold cornbread right away, food in boxes, and we got to eat as we froze outside! Not ok !! Food is still just as good, but gets cold fast. For 60.00 dollars, we won’t be returning ! Maybe if we’re going to the coast and want to take it along? Oh last but not least no public restroom. What a shame, I’ll be checking on line to see when we may go back to enjoy their great food…
