Not my favorite place in Albany. And next time I’ll do a better job of searching out local parks.
Bowman Park is located on the Willamette River and is very basic. The boat ramp/​dock makes it a popular spot for boaters, but by far the most popular mode of transportation were jet skies.
Unfortunately it is a rocky beach, so it can only be enjoyable if you bring water shoes. There is one covered shelter, a bathroom and that’s about all folks. Not a place where you really want to hang out. Perfectly fine if you have a boat or jet ski and will be spending the majority of your time on the river.
