I love this place. It is a nice little specialty store that sells goods from British and Irish culture. Mostly candy and food. I recommend the Cadbury flake chocolate bars as they are real milk chocolate and delicious! You can also find nice pop culture swag like flags, «I am calm so bugger off» signs, and of course, some Dr. Who and Sherlock merchandise. Worth a stop in.

I went for HP Sauce, which they sell in Canada but not the U.S. for some reason. This little store, hidden in a strip mall on Central Ave in Colonie, has some interesting stuff you can’t find elsewhere, including frozen meat pies, bangers, jams, teas and sweets from the UK. My sense is that it is still a novelty store and that they could do more build their inventory, but that comes with CUSTOMERS, so please go check them out! Maybe they could bring in some of that Canadian stuff I miss so much, like Red River Cereal???

This place is amazing. If you have ever been to the UK and Ireland this will bring back such happy memories. It’s like you are instantly transported back to a little grocer in Yorkshire! The owner is very friendly and a great person to talk to. He would make a great pub owner! Prices are fair seeing as how the product has traveled over the ocean, a journey that only 100 years ago would take 3 months and half the people died along the way. I will go here all the time! Darn it, I just realized I forgot to buy the shrimp and bacon crisps! Will need to go back! Bewley’s Irish Breakfast tea is so good!

Finally got to this store… what a wonderful selection of goodies! They have Marmite in individual serving packets! I haven’t even seen those in England! How did I live for(almost) 49 years without individual servings of Marmite?! We’re currently reading Harry Potter as a family(one person for the first time, the rest of us for the second or more go-around) and we found Chocolate Frogs, Butter Beer and Bertie Botts’ Every Flavor Beans here. Wide selection of Heinz cakes in a can, to be tried at a later date… Tea, HP Sauce, Hula Hoops, Walkers’ Crisps, they have all of it! BBC Dr. Who memorabilia too! If you’re a fan of British food and/or TV, you need to shop here!!!

Love this Store!!! Mr. Alan has brought joy and happiness to Albany for all of us who just love British and Irish food items. I crave strong coffee but wanted to drink heart healthy tea Alan suggested I go with Lyons Tea one of Ireland’s biggest and best-loved brands and I agree. I indulged in dark bittersweet chocolate by Bournville. My husband is an Anglophile and came home with bags of unusual flavors of chips and cookies. They sell cold drinks, biscuits, canned products, desserts, jams and marmalades and even pork pies and bacon! There are English and Irish gifts. Go & Let me know what you think.
