We recently attended a class taught by Kevin with our whole office team. He was extremely helpful and made the class very interesting. I have enjoyed getting to know him better as a person over the past few years and he is truly an expert in his field. I would recommend CNS for both their classes and retail.

First of all, let me tell you that as a girl and someone who doesn’t believe the government is trying to steal my guns, I detest going into gun shops. I learned to shoot before I could spell or write, so I know how to use a gun. I also reload, which seems to be one of those things that gun shop guys nearly crap themselves over when they hear. Yes, I wear lipstick AND I can reload. Shocking, I know. This place wasn’t much different when I wandered in looking for some Crimson Trace laser grips for a small pistol. I asked about large pistol primers and the guy behind the counter was pretty much like«who are you shopping for? Does the bullet look like this, or this?» Kind of annoying. Anyway, I purchased a set of laser grips and one of the guys behind the counter put them on my gun for me while I waited. I try to not start conversations with folks in gun shops because I frequently run into uncomfortably political folks. I don’t know why I have to vote republican to shoot guns, but that’s the general consensus of most«gun guys.» So when the clerk asked me what I did, replying«I’m a college student» seemed safe. Until he started to try to convince me to carry my gun on campus(which by the way, is NOT something you should do because you can get thrown out of college for it. There is a rule about this for Oregon universities. It’s not against the law, but you won’t be in the college’s good graces if you’re caught) and he told me I should be scared of the«terrorist Muslim students.» If the guys hadn’t had my gun in the back of the shop, I would have given them the finger and walked out. I really hate this sort of ridiculous attitude and fear mongering. Needless to say, I have avoided this shop ever since. I also politely told the guy off for being such a racist jerk. Prices seem reasonable, but I’d much rather take my business somewhere else.

I bought a gun through these guys and that was a really smooth process. Just a week ago though, I had the gun shipped out to my home in Ohio. They ship is regular ground, no insurance, no signature. UPS ends up leaving it on the front door of the FFL Dealer’s house. I go into talk to them and it was excuses, ultimately, they just didnt care. I say in confidence I will not be going there again.

Thanks to Kevin(owner) for some great personal training for my husband and I at the Albany Rifle and Pistol Club. Given the last time we shot was back in college, it was nice to get a refresher touching on just the issues we wanted and needed. We’re looking forward to taking more of their training. The next weekend we stopped into the shop and found a lot of the little things we were seeking to fill out our tool kit: a flashlight and sling for the Mossberg, a rifle bag, and a hell of a lot more stuff we «needed.» LOL. The staff was very friendly and ultimately helpful — we felt welcome in the store, and the staff were helpful without being pushy. Good selection, and prices on what we bought were actually lower than we found online or at big box sporting goods stores. Double score!
