We decided on Denny’s after there being a half hour wait at another breakfast joint down the street. I’m glad we made that choice. We were immediately seated in a booth and the waitress was attentive. Neither the boyfriend or I have been to Denny’s in years, so we were pleasantly surprised with the food we ordered(Lumberjack breakfast and Make Your Own Slam). My only complaint is the grits. They were absolutely disgusting and swimming in butter. This is where the loss of a star comes in. We would go back to dine here as they have an all day menu. I’ve only ever had breakfast, but I would venture out to explore some of the other options available.

I only ever come here late at night anymore, but have been less than wowed by the food in the last two years. The service is standard low-pay, low-tip chain fare and I hardly blame the waitstaff for looking utterly dead-inside. Its not really their fault and they’re pretty on-top of the coffee refills. What kills this location is the food. I’ve gotten everything from mozzarella sticks with all the cheese burnt out(completely hollow!!) and milkshakes with chunks of ice in them to burnt toast and runny eggs. The food just isn’t very good anymore. It’s still cheap and open all night but I’d really rather drive the extra miles to East Greenbush if I’ve got a Denny’s craving.

We needed to be in and out quickly. The food was out in less than ten minutes, was perfect, and we were out the door within 30 minutes thanks to our lovely server! Recommend!

I stop in Denny’s on Wolf rd. aprox twice a year for breakfast. Usually seated quickly staff are friendly and take my drink order and breakfast order within a reasonable time frame. Food comes out hot and what I expect from Denny’s good. Over all I can’t complain and will be back again.

I came here to eat only because the diner I used to eat at was closed. I am currently undergoing chemo and was up here on business. I ordered a cup of coffee which came with lipstick marks all over the cup. I was mortified that the waitress not looked at the cup before pouring coffee in it. She sent the manager over to apologize and he told me he just updated the system. When the dishes aren’t clean it means the system needs updating, which he did on my behalf. I was appalled. He told me he would not charge for the coffee. He asked if he could get me anything and I said a coffee in a paper cup. He said yes at no charge. Long story, short… in the end he charged me for the coffee, which wasn’t the problem. It was the way he went on about updating the system to get clean dishes. Poor service.

How can you close for a month. Then reopen and not even be ready for your guest. If you can’t host a lobby then don’t be open at all. Had to go to a different Dennys and they didn’t honor the coupons I had. Smh. Horrible franchise

Normally a nice place to eat but now I’ll be ready to call a manager if I don’t get my food after 25 minutes. Last time it never came!

We’ve always depended upon the quality meal from this Denny’s. The wait staff are outstanding, patient and supportive of their customers, and the food prepared very well. Highly recommend.

This review is for the server my boyfriend and I had tonight… er this morning rather. I’m hoping this reaches her boss! We had Nikki(Nicki?) as our server and she did an awesome job. Incredibly friendly and very fast to help us out when we suddenly had to leave. Also, the gentleman at the register is friendly and helpful as usual! Definitely the place to get good service from hard working people at night. p. s. jalapeño bottle caps!

It’s Denny’s so if you go in with low expectations, then you just might be surprised! My loaded veggie omelet was nicely prepared & loaded with fresh, perfectly cooked veggies. The chicken sausage was also tasty… salty but good. Coffee was fine. Service was quick. Portions were hearty. I admittedly only go to Denny’s after a good drinking night & this once answered the call. Well done, Denny’s, well done!

Place was very dirty. No one cleaned the floors. Told manager and he acted surprised. When drinks came out, my wife’s orange juice had a hair. We left.

Place is okay for lunch and dinner but as far as breakfast goes I should have gone to the ihop down the street… waited twenty minutes to be asked by a different waitress if I would like something to drink and my waitress went to people who came in after me first… won’t come back for breakfast again

No matter what Denny’s I go to all over the country, Albany is always the standard I compare them to. Head and shoulders a better meal here than anywhere else and the staff is always friendly and pleasant. I had Kathy this morning and she made sure that my decaf was brewed fresh and was a most excellent waitress. Fantastic service and food. Who could ask for more?

Normally, we come in here and never have a problem. However, today, the time that counted for a review, it didn’t thrill me. It took 5 minutes for them to fill water drinks, and more than an additional 15 for the server to take our orders, with their only being 4 other booths filled. It then took 30 minutes for our order to arrive at our table. I later found out it was actually due to a change of shift, and although the assistant manager came over to say something, he suspected something was up, as he was«inquisitive» why all of our plates were almost licked super-clean!!! Normally, things move pretty quickly, and we don’t get the back-sass like we got from our waiter today.

I love that I can go to Denny’s and get a healthy breakfast. Egg Whites with spinach and tomatoes, yogurt and fruit. Works perfect for me.

It’s a Denny’s, much like every other Denny’s. It’s not one of the better locations, because the service is inconsistent. Sometimes I get excellent service, but usually I don’t. I find that there are several long-time employees at this location who clearly hate their jobs, and it shows. The place is clean, the restrooms are clean, the menu and cooking are consistent. You get largely what you expect if you have ever been to a Denny’s anywhere in the country. But the inconsistent service costs this location a star.

I happen to go to Albany on business and for some reason I always end landing late on a Sunday. Of course I can never find an open place to eat after 9:00pm, so I have to end at this Denny’s. To be honest, avoid by all means the night shift. The manager seems to be more clueless than the personnel which is already very clueless. The rest is pretty much a regular Denny’s. I have nothing else to say.

We went here 3 times. To tell you the truth I am not sure of the exact location. But it was in Albany. We went while visiting someone in the hospital. We do not have any in NYC. Really it seems Albany is some what of a waste land but we really enjoyed Denny’s. We kind of like old school Americana. If anyone knows Denny’s it is usually best to order breakfast no matter what time it is. The rest of their food is not as good. But the breakfasts are pretty good. The waitresses are all old pros, the kind who can carry 10 trays and remember your order without writing it down.

The extra trip to Denny’s was a spur-of-the-moment craving on our way back home from Saratoga Springs. My husband had a Denny’s craving attack and had to have it. Whipping out the IPHONE, we located the nearest Denny’s while driving south on the I-84 highway. With little complications, we arrived to Wolf road where Denny’s is across from a shopping center. The waitress seated us right away into a booth by the entrance. We looked over the menu for a while and when nobody came to serve us, I decided to use the restroom up ahead instead. When I came back, my husband went to the restroom. As I looked at the menu, I didn’t see anything I felt like eating and I ended up picking some safe choices like the chicken tender meal just because I wasn’t hungry and I figured it couldn’t be that bad. My husband ordered a steak, as usual. I should have just ordered an appetizer because I still felt so full. I looked at the drinks section and I can not remember what fruity drink I ordered. The young waitress actually recommended my drink too since she said it tastes delicious. When our meals and my drink came, I was not sure if I could finish it all. Our meal was good, but it’s not anything to die for. Our waitress came by a few times, but didn’t really pay much attention to us. I forced myself to eat everything and then my husband and I went into a food coma after I got back into the car. We had to stop at a rest area to nap it off. Overall, this place is good, but I’m not too excited about the Denny’s chain of restaurants.
