When I was born in this hospital back in the 70’s, I heard it was a horrible place to have a baby. The nurses treated you like crap and everything. but that was back then. this past week my grandfather was admitted for mental reasons. my grandmother wanted to be by his side the entire time he was it made it there and they accommodated her. my only gripe is they fed my grandfather but not my grandmother. Other than that the staff was great and the nurses were outstanding. They even let him pick what he wanted for breakfast lunch and dinner every day.

Came for a myelogram and I can say everyone I met was polite and professional. Dr Steve Henshaw and nurse Jeanette were awesome in the way they took care of me and my wife. Kim in the CT was great as well.

No Stars!!! Emergency room is a joke. They have a fast track, supposedly. Nothing fast around here, that’s for sure. Inept staff, front desk staff has no service skills. Basically was told, we get to you when We get to you. They are more interested in laughing, and visiting with one another than patient care. Horrible just horrible.

I was born here in Albany, and it is well known around here that Pheobe kills people. My Granny had a sever stroke, her face was falling on one side her heart rate through the roof. They refused to treat her, said she was drug seeking. We went to Palmyra and they saved her, the doctors said that I had not brought her in when I did, she would have died.

This is the worst hospital ever. My mom got admitted into the ER today and she sat in ER waiting on the Cardiologist to come check her out for having fluid around her heart/lungs and nobody even told the Cardiologist she was even there!!! She waited 8 hours to hear that. Then the Nurse tried to give her a Z-Pak and my mom informed her that she could NOT take that medication with her others!!! The nurse kind of insisted and they finally agreed for her NOT to take the medication. Also, they didn’t know that they were in the ER waiting to be admitted to a Room. I WOULDNOTTAKEMYDOGTOTHISHOSPITAL!!!

I have to give these guys five stars. They saved my father’s life after he suffered his third heart attack. After this heart attack he had to go through quadruple bypass surgery and these folks did a successful job. It hurts me to my heart that again I wasn’t able to fly home to lend my moral support due to situations that are far beyond my control, but he told me not to worry too much about it and focus what I need to do. My father told me that he’s going to check into rehab after decades of abusing drugs and I couldn’t be any more excited. Even though he was in and out of my life for most of my childhood I still love the guy. And I am very grateful of the staff at Phoebe Putney for once again saving my father’s life.
