I don’t recommend this dive to anyone. I have been There three times and each visit was not my favorite mistake. I guess the third time really is the charm. The staff wouldn’t make a special order. It wasn’t the world or anything, I just asked if they would split a side for me and they said, «NO». Okay, so I ordered my food and a drink. The food was good and the conversation at the bar was interesting so I had a second drink and mingled a little. Upon ordering a third drink, the new bartender poured the wrong liquor. After I realized what had happened, I dismissed this as a newbie thing and accepted the drink as it was. I then went to play pool with my coworkers and finished the drink that I ordered after my meal. When the bartender did her rounds I asked for another of the same. What she brought me seemed to be the glass that had been taken from the table with soda water, Rose’s and a twist of lime as there was almost no color in my glass. I placed a flashlight to the bottom and it shown clear except for the lime I had wrung from the rim of the glass. When I approached the bartender in charge she was adamant that it was the drink I had ordered. I explained that because it was clear it could not be Scotch as I had requested. After that I went to the KJ for a song. I asked for Black Sabbath,“War Pigs”. What I got didn’t resemble a sausage patty and I was disappointed to have been given the MTV top ten version, which butchered the piece down to about 90 seconds. While I waited I asked for a double Bourbon neat and the bartender started to fill a plastic cup with with Ice. I corrected her and she asked if I wanted Coke. I replied, «No, A double Bourbon Neat,». She told me, «I know you want it with no ice. Do you want Coke in it?». «No.» I replied. I sipped my drink and waited to sing. After my song I went back to the bar for another double shot. I was told that I would not be served another double so I ordered a straight shot of Jim Beam. She served me with a smirk and my shot. The bartender, Julie, then told me I would be cashed out. I agreed and asked for an itemized receipt. It took a while and my ticket was not what I had expected but I paid the price listed and did not tip. When she saw that I was not leaving any tip she said that the next time I come in I should think about tipping. I replied, «I could be one of your best customers but I won’t. You Guys are horrible bartenders.» She Told me not to come back and I told her she should have said that to the guy Who was drinking a Corona outside. I left with a Designated Driver. I learned from another patron that the Corona guy is the reason he got a concealed weapons permit. His drink was removed and he was asked to leave but the firmness of the order was not concrete. He may want to come back for another shot sometime which I don’t want to see happen. My friends and I are going to find another bar to go to.

I’ve been a regular at the Mistake for over six years at the time of writing this. I’ve seen managers and employees come and go as normal, but regardless the atmosphere of the bar has changed very little in my time. Its a friendly kind of Cheers like place once you become a regular, and just like the show you need a quick wit and a be willing to play along with the verbal jabs that are tossed around from both behind and in front of the bar. Karaōke is a highlight, and while the selection of songs could be better, the regulars who sing and the typical party or college students tend to put on a performance that keeps every Friday or Saturday night a blast. An added bonus is the proximity to the bowling alley, making it a key place to put a nightcap on your evening, if you’ll excuse the pun. So in short, 6 years later I’m still a regular. If you’re looking for a watering hole with irreverent conversation ranging from sex to politics, where most everyone is ready to jump in with their thoughts, come on down. Pull up a chair next to me, say hello, and be ready for some crazy good times.

Been to this little bar many times. It’s full of character and is a quant local place. The drinks are good, the beer isn’t expensive, and the bartenders are unique. It’s not a Buffalo Wild Wings or other large restaurant chain. They try to get to know you, remember what you like to drink, and will not hesitate to flip you crap if you try to give it to them. Friday’s and Saturdays they have karaōke and it is always entertaining. Don’t be afraid to sing as its all in good fun. If you like sports they have multiple televisions and if you ask they will change them to whatever you want to watch. Even golf! It’s a wonderful bar, check it out, get to know the bartenders, meet the regulars, you won’t be disappointed.

I come into Favorite Mistake every weekend and each time I do, I am greeted with a smile and a «Hello». I see great atmosphere that I wish other bars had. I love the people as if they were family because of the humor they bring in my life. I also love to socialize and sing karaōke provided by great KJ’s. The regulars have been pretty chill and I enjoy every weekend I come into. There are also plenty of TV’s and it’s small to where you won’t get lost easily. The Critic Approves!

Have you ever been to Dick’s last resort? This place is just as good. Colorful staff, great drinks, decent menu. Karaōke nights on Friday/Saturday and live bands on Thursday are the highlights.

Very nice waitresses and right next to the bowling alley but the drinks were pretty bad. If they had better drinks, this would be a great place to go.

Nice sports bar. They have 12 TVs but if you come on a day the owner wants to watch a game he will put that game on all the TVs and not even bother if you wanted to watch another game. If the game was on a network I had I would have left right then.

A friend and I spent about an hour of our Superbowl Sunday here. While the food was good and the SS beer was FREE(nice!) we couldn’t hear the game at all. Even up at the bar, the TVs weren’t very loud. The 6 screens out in the seating area don’t appear to have functioning speakers. The Superbowl experience was kind of pointless there, so we moved on to another bar to finish up the game. Get some loud speakers in there! Really though, if you’re not there to watch TV, it’s a great place. Good food, the usual beers and nice bartenders. I go here regularly just for the awesome onion rings and beer.
