Now OUTOFBUSINESS. Sorry… used to be good several years ago, but owners sold or gave to relatives(?) and it just went one direction… downhill. Sadly, Albany, which needs decent restaurants, no longer has this one.

We decided to try this place when our other chinese restaurant was closed for remodeling. First off– they no longer do a dinner buffet, even though the sign on the building advertised such. We ordered off of the menu and we were not impressed with the food. The hot & sour soup tasted off but was served piping hot. The seafood dish that was supposed to have shrimp, crab, scallops and squid had artificial krab and no squid at all. The Sichuan beef was not very spicy but was good. One of the glasses had bug legs in it… glad we caught that! It is no wonder we were the only customers in the place. We won’t be again.

They ran out of chicken fried rice and didn’t bother calling to let us know. Food already paid for and they just brought pork rice. Food is pretty nasty. Rice has a funny taste to it so not gonna finish. what u see was 9.75 with a crab puff, spring roll and a small piece of shrimp. Totally not worth the money even if they deliver. Will not return.

My gf and I just got take out from here and we haven’t tried the food yet, however this was the most sketchy place I have probably ever been in. The buffet was covered in grease and old food. The bathrooms both REEKED of urine. There was died spit on the mirror as well. They also got my order wrong. I’m praying that we survive this meal, because this place screams unsanitary. Do not eat here. Update, the food was foul. My pork won tons were kind of raw. My sweet and sour chicken was all breading and my bbq was very old and chewy. Disgusting place.

Food was on par with the price, service delivered everything without any issues:) my gf and myself split the 2 person meal combo and it was a lot of food, enough for 4 well portioned meals:)

I kept noticing the banner for a $ 6.75 lunch buffet and decided I had nothing else to do today, so why not try it. Bad idea. Your gut should tell you if a buffet is that cheap, something is wrong. My fiancée also told me that, but I hardly ever listen to her, even when she is right. I got there about 11:15 when the buffet should just be getting going. The food looked like it had sat there since 9am and was completely overcooked. Chinese chicken jerky anyone? The lo mein or whatever it was contained spaghetti noodles. Every single dish was overcooked and dried out beyond anything I have had since horrible grocery store chinese food. I really wanted to like this place, and maybe it was an off day, but I won’t be back. I gave it two stars because I haven’t tried anything else on the menu, so this is a a pretty bias review. Nor did I get checked on by the server cause she was too busy playing video poker. No wonder there was only me and another table here at noon. Listen to your gut and skip this place.

I realize our experience here may be untypically great, as we stopped in between lunch and dinner. The buffet was not yet set up and we were the only folks in the place, so we got immediate(very friendly) service, and each of our three dishes was freshly prepared. We could hear the chopping of the cleaver in the kitchen, after which each dish arrived in swift sequence. Food: the hot and sour soup was more sour than hot, but it was good. One item we ordered was a shrimp curry and we didn’t much care for the sauce, but everything was well prepared and served very hot. We ate like pigs and had tons of leftovers to take home. Altogether a good dining experience.

My husband and I ate here the first week of June 2011. The buffet price caught our eye. We arrived at noon and even then there were about 4 empty trays where food had once been. Must have been the more popular meals.(They were not refilled while we were there.) Three tables were uncleaned/cleared the entire time we were eating. Dinners coming in made loud verbal notice of this as they had to search farther for a clean table. So very disappointed as the only thing on their small buffet table that actually tasted like what you were looking at and familiar with was the chop suey. I was raised on quality Chinese food and this was NOT quality. My Mother always told me, «You get what you paid for,» and this is so very true. If you come here, you will be choosing this restaurant simply to eat and not for taste. You have been warned.

I have been waiting for a great Chinese restaurant to come to town since Lee’s Wok closed. There are good places but finally a great place! This will be my new Chinese restaurant!

Albany has a new Chinese buffet! There’s a new owner and Golden wok replaced Lucky Garden and I was really excited to try this place since China #1 buffet closed down. I was really surprised because how can anyone beat $ 5.95 for lunch?! It’s all you can eat too!!! I mean one dish cost that much and I get to sample a little bit of everything which is a sweet deal I must say. It had everything from pork fried rice, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, egg rolls, egg flour soup. I can go on about the variety and everything was fresh and tasty! It’s optional to eat buffet because they also serve combination platters and individual dishes as well. There’s a special for the day and even the dinner price is less than $ 10/person. The service is great and our waitress was very friendly and I had a wonderful experience and I left satisfied. Also they do delivery for FREE so next time I’m in town I know where to go eat!
