I love Dana and drive from Santa Rosa to see her. After 20 years, it still amazes me that she will fit me in when I stop by — or tell me when to return. Dana gives a great, thoughtful cut that I just love. This shop can’t be beat.

This place is the best! I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years getting my haircut by Dana and I’ve loved it. I used to just get my hair cut at Great Clips and it was terrible. I came here and gave Dana a general idea of what I wanted, and she just made me look great. Dana is very honest and if she thinks the cut you want doesn’t suit you, she’ll tell you. If you still want it, she’ll do it exactly as you like. The people here are so friendly, I make a phone appointment about every 1.5 months, and just from my first name, Dana knows who I am and what time I usually want to come in at. I highly highly highly recommend this place!

I’ve been coming here the last several months and have not been disappointed. My cousin’s husband introduced me to this place. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Khan, who is learning how my hair grows out. He is a good hair cutter. I show him a picture of how I want my hair and he is able to reproduce the haircut and style. Genius. Thank you Ron for the introduction. It saves me from a high price salon or Supercuts up the street.

What can I say, love getting my hair cut here cuz it’s right around the corner from my house and it’s cheap! Dana does a great job and she’s super friendly. I love the fact she is so honest about my ideas for haircuts. I came in with an idea for a short, layered bob and she just told me flat out(nicely) that she thought it should be a bit longer otherwise I’d look a bit funny haha. I just let her do her thing and my hair turned out great – you could tell it was inspired by the picture I brought in but altered to fit my type of hair which was great. Love the fact that I don’t have to do anything to my hair in the morning and it will look fine but I can also dress it up when I want to. FYI, my haircut was $ 16 without tip. Bottom line: good cheap haircut hella close to home =D

I’ve been coming her for the past 20 years or so and love it. I always use Dana because she is the best there is and does a great job with my hair. Sometimes I’ll bring in pictures of hair styles I like and she’ll work her magic to match the look yet customize it to my hair style. If you are looking for a great, affordable hair cut Dana is the one.

The place is drab and funky, but Dana, the woman who works here, is very good and will listen to you. She works hard and does pay attention to detail. Her partner is not in the business as often as Dana, and I have not connected with him. I’d stick with Dana. She is very warm and friendly, though her English is not great. I took my elderly father to her. He was skeptical when I mentioned that her English is only fair, but he was very satisfied, too.

I needed a hair cut because I’m going to some job interviews this week, and I’ve been looking kind of shaggy lately. Rather than going to one of those $ 60 salons I’ve been frequenting, I decided to go the easy route and just pop into one of those $ 12 chop shops. I had my kidlet with me, and she needed a cut, too. The two stylists at Hair Dynamics were kind and efficient with their mostly older male clientele. The lady stylist gave my daughter what I would rate as a 4 star haircut – a good value for the money, and my kidlet came away happy. For me, I asked the male stylist to trim some off the back of my almost shoulder-length hair, and to give me very thick bangs. As he worked on my hair cut, I kept thinking about geometry: he was that intent. in his movements.(Unfortunately he had something pungent for lunch that he kept indiscreetly burping up.) After working on my the back of my hair for a very long time and cutting it to chin length, he came to the bangs, which he quickly chopped. I have a nice cowlick over my right eyebrow, which other stylists who have given me bangs have deftly cut around, but this was too much of a challenge for my guy today. Once he saw my hair sticking STRAIGHTUP from my forehead, he grabbed a round brush and a blow dryer and gave me a great circa 1991 blow-out – think lots of height. Since getting home from this haircut, there is nothing I can do to make my bangs lay down, and I’m hoping that my prospective employers like the Bangles look. Kidlets haircut = 4 stars My haircut = 2 stars Hence 3 Stars total for this visit. I’ll bring back kidlet again, but I think I’ll be returning to my old ‘spensive beauticians. Lesson learned. P. S.–A big«thank you» to Tina over at Down at Lulu’s in Oakland – she fixed my hair after my bangs fiasco and is totally the xpert on bangs.(For $ 60 – now I know that was worth it!) And…I got the job!
