What a wonderful surprise! Delicious coffee served from a trailer amongst a plant nursery!

I am a coffee guru and I live across the street from this café. They serve amazing coffee, rich aroma and pure beans… If I want to treat someone and show that I truly enjoy his/her company then I bring them here.

I am in love with this. There should be more cute trailer coffee shops in garden nurserys. The girl Nia is so sweet and keeps the line moving while remaining so friendly to everyone. Refreshing to be in a coffee shop surrounded by plants, happy people, sunshine, and not feel rushed to leave or sit anxiously listening to the loud sounds of your average bustling coffee place. I think… I hope this is the start to an addiction. Can’t wait to start gardening :)

The place is very cute and modern. The employee working here, however was very rude and charged me an extra $ 1.50 for this simple heart design, which may not be a lot but i usually go to East bay café that charges $ 3.50 for a larger sized latte with a better design and good service.

This location is very cute and is located in a coffee truck inside of a plant nursery. It’s a great place to stop by if you are looking for coffee to-go or it’s a nice day outside and you can sit on the patio. I got a 12oz mocha with almond milk and it tasted good as expected. I noticed that I didn’t have very pronounced latte art in my drink, but maybe my barista is new or this location doesn’t emphasize latte art? I’m not sure which one. Either way, my barista was very friendly and answered all my questions. She also told me that this location does not sell shirts since I wanted to buy one. I chose a redwood bench out on the patio to sit on and enjoyed the cool breeze and people watching the few other people on the patio. One person was drinking coffee while writing in their journal and another couple was relaxing while enjoying their conversation. A really pleasant and enjoyable environment all around. I would come back the next time I am in Albany.

Good chai, in an unbeatable setting. Wandering around Flowerland’s succulent collection with a fresh bev was totally charming.

Great service, delicious pastries(don’t miss the savory mushroom pastry or the ham and cheese croissant.). The cappuccino is out of this world. Loved it, always come here every time I’m in the east bay.

they serve Highwire coffee — that’s about the only good thing. terrible services both times. can’t even make simple Americano correctly. don’t waste your money and time. there are better places.

Lots of charm. Espresso drinks seem heavy on the milk(or not bold enough on espresso?). Will try dry next time.

My new favorite coffee place in the Berkeley area. First, it’s a cute little hipster-ish truck you order from. The guy taking my order this weekend put up with my questions about the PALEOMUFFINS(!!!) they had, giving me some grief in a humorous way. He was great. Second, the coffee is great, including the option of almond milk AND they have Paleo muffins. Bonus points all around. They also have a cute little seating area right next to the truck perfect for working or reading… or browsing plants! Third, as alluded to above, this Albany shop is located inside of the coolest(and large) plant nursery. Get your coffee and sip while you check out some pretty awesome plants. Very well kept and gorgeous nursery! I’m a lover of coffee and plants so this place was pretty much my heaven.

This is such an amazing little hidden gem in the middle of Solano avenue. Had some great coffee whilst chillin’ in the nursery and enjoying a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Lots of espresso options and the drip coffee is fantastic too.

No white mocha, but chocolate with vanilla mocha was delicious. Espresso has a full rich flavor.

Highwire coffee is so unique! I am not sure what beans we had, but the flavor was so buttery, bold and acidic– I loved it! Also, this is a cute location! You can sit/walk around in the nursery after ordering. Not only will I be coming back to this location, but I will be exploring the many other highwire roast cafes in the area!

Honestly the cutest set-up I’ve ever seen. It’s part of this nursery so you get so sit in the middle of all these succulents and flowers. All the people wandering about were so friendly and chatty. What better atmosphere can you get? The girl working the trailer was super friendly bubbly too. Coffee was good, got a mocha and the chocolate was nice and dark but not too overpowering. Definitely coming back

Aren’t you disturbed by the non-parallel Unilocal treatment of the Solano and San Pablo Local 123s? Unilocal views the latter establishment as closed; the Highwire in its place is considered to be a new business. Currently there are four reviews at San Pablo . By contrast, the Solano Local Unilocal page has morphed into the Highwire page, so there’s only one page instead of two. Different locations, different treatment. Maybe Unilocal is trying to see if anyone is paying attention. Life goes on at the trailer. I bought a pound of Highwire beans and ordered a gibraltar for immediate consumption. The coffee is at least a notch more dark than the coffee at Blue Bottle, but I can appreciate the Highwire style. The Slipstream-made gibraltar was very good, but I do believe that I’ve had better. In particular, the Intelligentsia macchiato that I was served a few days before in Chicago lives on a higher plane than the Highwire drink.

Excellent pastry selection(try their veggie scone and chocolate chip cookie) and always delicious coffee. No change in their high quality of friendly service, food and coffee since the announcement that they were bought by Highwire Coffee earlier this month.

I love this place, but 4 stars for cash only and limited drink selection. BUT their drinks are super delish(but small). $ 4 latte– good flavors. Perfect temperature. Pretty art. Very enjoyable. $ 1 Seasalt chocolate cookie– overpriced but it was ok. It reminds me of the espresso brownie at The Beanery in Elmwood(which gives you a lot more). I’d rather get a brownie… Service: the guy who helped me was super sweet and awesome. Good service makes everything better. Cash only. I had to get cash from CVS. Be prepared :)

My wife and I stopped in for coffee at Local 123 a few Sundays ago. Hanging around was a treat; not many coffee joints are located in a nursery. There were a couple chairs in various places around Flowerland’s outdoor area. The coffee’s definitely pricey, at least a buck more than any nearby cup of joe. The iced coffee I ordered was delicious, though, as was the scone. Between the good coffee and ambiance this place is definitely a recommended coffee stop if it’s a nice day.

I just ordered an iced coffee with almond milk and a vegan doughnut. Super fast and friendly service. The barista was awesome and very helpful, even listing off every flavor of doughnut they had. I’m just hoping that little trailer has air conditioning, otherwise the worker is going to be dripping sweat. Today was a scorcher, especially for October.

Those $ 1 dark chocolate sea salt delicate cookies. oh my. Their coffees at this trailer come small… warning! I had forgotten. Wanted to treat MSG to his fave espresso: a cap, extra dry. gone in like 3 tilts of the head!

Local 123 is located just inside the nursery on the left hand side. they are located within an airstream trailer. hours: 8−5p.m. menu: four barrel coffee, drip or regular brew. pour: 8 oz(2) –very rich, bold, smooth brew drips: –4 small tables with chairs available for leisurely chit chat. –fast, courteous service.

I’m delighted that there is a Local 123 outpost on Solano. The fact that it is in the sleepy garden of Flowerland is even better. This area of The Ave definitely needed some good coffee. I imagine longer morning walks now that the little coffee wagon has parked in my hood, and my dogs will surely appreciate this new habit. The coffee is delicious and the setting is peaceful. More baked goods would be greats.

Combining 3 awesome things… 1.) Airstream Trailer 2.) Delicious Coffee 3.) A(plant) Nursery What an adorable setting to enjoy a cup of joe and do some shopping while you sip. Or take in the views without making any purchases at Flowerland, though it might be hard to resist just onnnne little plant or gift. Just mosey into the entrance of Flowerland Nursery, and you’ll see the big Silver Bubble with windows open at the side, a beaming barista face inside, ready to fix up with your favorite caffinated drink. Delicious drip coffee for $ 28oz. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of trash or recycling receptacle near the coffee fixins’. ***Goes on Inspired Caffeine Induced Inspirational Stroll of Nursery*****
