Hudson Solar

Hudson Solar did a fine job on our installation in May 2015. Everything about their work was first class. Carey, their project manager was extremely professional and helpful in all our dealings with her. Unlike certain solar leasing companies that call up with the hard sell from San Francisco, Hudson Solar even injected a note of caution about our exposure that warranted further investigation; not just «here’s the contract, sign on the dotted line». Once we decided on the system, Josh and his installation crew did an excellent job. Working unobtrusively, cleaning up thouroughly each day, explaining what they were doing — this is just what what the customer wants. Even the little details were customer friendly, like the engraved label tags for the inverter and devices. Enjoying watching electricity flow back out to National Grid, and looking forward to more of same.

I’ve been very happy with my solar installation. The process took quite a long time but well worth it. I dealt with Adam and he was a straight shooter no B.S. like from other companies. Helped with all the paperwork and always kept me up to speed with the progress.
I bought my solar system outright (HELOC) which should pay itself within 12 – 13 years at current electric rates. I was not interested in leasing a system for 20 years and not owning it in the end. The Sunpower 335 watt X series black is great as it sits in front of my house and is least intrusive. I’ve got 24 panels that should make 7800kWh/​yr. The panels seem to be great quality and no one else makes panels that are as efficient. I would highly recommend. Last month my utilities were $ 170, the month before $ 230 (february). I’m saving close to $ 100 a month ($ 1200/​yr) because of the panels.

Hudson Solar was great all the way through the process. We spoke to about five companies and felt most comfortable with Hudson Solar. Our salesman, Adam, stayed with us for over a year, without being pushy. The installation and paperwork was on time and easy. The installation crew was professional and the communication was outstanding. Just received our first bill and it was 65% less than our typical bill. Can’t wait to see our savings after this long winter is over. Thank you Hudson Solar.
