IHOP

not really sure what to add to the other low star reviews — they all seem to be spot on — i guess you can just say it is a typical Albany experience — there are very few places in this town that put an emphasis on customer service and making your experience the best it can be and this IHOP falls right in line with the lack of concern — food is mediocre but par for the course with this style restaurant — service is below par and this explains the two stars — it fills a need if you want food to put in your stomach… that is about it

This place is awful. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience here either.
They had a promotion going on where kids eat free with the purchase of an entrée. We got some German Crepes and they were okay, but just so soggy. It might as well have just been called a pancake with its consistency.
The kids barely touched their food.
This is the second time I ordered a BLT here. The first time they said they had no tomatoes and served me the BLT anyway. They didn’t think a missing tomato was a big deal. This time i ordered one and I thought the same thing happened. I looked through it and found that there was just basically one slice of tomato on this entire sandwich. This sandwich that consisted of 3 pieces of really dry toast. The tomato wasn’t even juicy. I asked for some more. First, the waitress didn’t tell me she was going to charge me for my «extra» tomatoes. Second, 1 slice of tomato is not enough for that sandwich. On top of that all of their tomatoes sucked. They tasted like they had been sitting in a refrigerator and were not fresh at all.
I won’t comment on the other food. It was all generally mediocre. I can say that the waitress took my survey and did not return it when she took our card for payment.

I had the sirloin tips and eggs with two pancakes with strawberry banana topping was good. Service was good also not a bad value under 15 with tip

I came to visit from California, and I called in my order. When I got there I had to wait 10 minutes before anyone even greeted me. A couple came in 5 minutes after me and was seated before I was even greeted. When I was finally greeted the lady had an attitude and handed me a bag to bag my own food. My food was very cold and I’m just not used to that kind of service. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this particular IHOP again.

The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food was good (up to Ihop standards) except for the fruit, tasted fermented. The iced tea tasted like an ashtray… I would stick to soda or fresh coffee.

Decent breakfast food. I usually opt for country fried steak but sometimes I’ll settle for the classic sausage or bacon and eggs dish. The pancakes aren’t that bad as well.
Good service, clean restaurant.

I love me some ihop! This one is as overpriced as any of them, but when you split a dish with your wife, its more than enough for both and always goooooood. Good service here too.
