Just Threading

I went to this place twice when Jen was there. She now works Sat/​Sun and another lady works during the week. Jen is great but the other lady does not do a great job of Taking directive on what to do when one wants their brows shaped a certain way. I wanted my brows to remain thick but shaped. She took a few hairs off, left it looking unkempt and said all done. It was pretty awful. The place itself is clean and open/​airy. They’re expensive and I would not return, and have not returned unless I’m going for Jen alone.

I get threaded weekly and this is one of the best places I’ve ever been. She was gentle yet effective and the shape turned out great!

Absolutely LOVE this place!!! Never had my brows done before and was told that this salon was awesome… They were right! Quick, efficient and soo satisfied with my brows!!!

I purchased a facial/​threading Groupon. As this being my first time I was kinda just checking out what this was all about. I’m a dude so I don’t frequently do this but I felt like seeing what was up. I called to make an appointment on Monday but I couldn’t get anything other than when I was working in the morning. I called Friday to get an appointment and the dude tells me Sunday at 11am. I show up at 11am and imagine my anger when its CLOSED! Why would you schedule someone for when you aren’t open? I dragged my ass out of bed in the rain on a Sunday for this? Groupon refund pending. screw this.

I met Glory today and my first threading experience in New York was phenomenal. I got my full face done and it was a tiny bit painful but Glory did a terrific job. I’m only taking one star off because I usually have thicker eyebrows and it was clear that I just needed a clean but my eyebrows were reshaped thinner than what I’m usually comfortable with. The shape was perfect if only we had kept them a little thicker. I don’t blame her because I actually should have said when I sat down to leave them thick and just clean. My brows are pretty ill just let them grow out a few more weeks before getting threaded again. I recommend this salon, it’s very clean I didn’t have to wait to be seated and I believe they take credit card. She gives you a punch card as well for frequent clients.

Today was my first time there. Nothing or nobody ever made such bad first impression. First of all, I waited for nearly half hour while the women who works there and owns the place carried out a heated argument with a customer about not honoring her Groupon. She wasn’t able to explain to the customer why she won’t honor her Groupon. So I asked her, your customer already bought it, you should honor it. Otherwise she might not come back. She kept refusing to honor it and the customer left. The owner then said she didn’t care about Groupons or reviews. After watching this circus, I was contemplating leaving. But I didn’t. I got my eyebrow done. And guess what… they are uneven. They look different. When I asked her she said my right eyebrow is problematic and it can’t be fixed to look the same as the left one. Oh now… my eyebrows are too bad for her to work on? This wasn’t my first time doing this, I never had anyone tell me this before. When I went to pay and leave, she said I wasn’t happy (no shit) so I don’t need to pay. I left thinking how lucky that customer was that her Groupon wasn’t honored. Even though I didn’t have to pay for the service, I have uneven eyebrows now. It’s upsetting me.

Walked in and no wait. Great results and very friendly staff. I’ve been apprehensive to let anyone new work on my brows since I moved from Dallas. As it turns out, this place is fantastic. It’s certainly my new spot.

Downstate, threading salons are everywhere. I have a favorite, a place that I’ve been going to since I was a teenager. Needless to say, I’ve been very apprehensive about finding a new threading place in Albany. From what I’ve gathered, there are only a few of them. And the reviews have not been good. I decided to bite the bullet, and I’m really glad I did. The salon is spacious and clean. Glory did a great job on my eyebrows. She was friendly, meticulous, and listened to what I wanted. She did the threading with a lot of care. I was done in about 10 mins. She charged me $ 10, which is a little more expensive than I what I am used to paying downstate ($ 7). However I think that $ 10 is still really reasonable. Fantastic place. I’ll definitely be back.

Best threading place in Albany. I moved here 2 years ago and it’s been really slim pickings in terms of threading places. Glory has made my eyebrows perfect each time; I also get my face threaded and she will get every single hair meticulously off your face, very thorough.

I had just moved to the area from NYC and had been getting my eyebrows threaded for a while now. Needed a new place and glad I found this one! The lady who threaded my eyebrows did a wonderful job and took her time to get them looking great. In and out in probably 10 min, tops. Easy place to find, tons of parking. The only thing is that I used to pay $ 5 for eyebrow threading in the city and in Albany it’s $ 10, but in the end, the increased cost is worth it. This is the only place I’ll go to get my eyebrows done :)

I read a few reviews mostly all good except one. So, I decided to go the owner did my brows and they came out PERFECT and trust me they where a mess to begin with. She was very friendly and helpful and the new location is beautiful and spacious easy parking too. Thank you very much you have gained a loyal customer! :)

Been there once and just loved the service and price. Will go again when in the city.

I’ve come here about 5 times this summer and have never been disappointed. I’m really particular about my eyebrows and the women here have won my loyalty by always being very thorough & attentive to detail. Threading can be uncomfortable if not done well but I’ve never had a painful job here and the ladies are really careful and sweet.
They recently moved out of the mall to a standalone salon just down the road. It’s clean, nicely decorated, and has a nice atmosphere. A+ !

I’ve gone to this place 4 times. I absolutely loved my brows after getting them done the first time. I had the same result the second time. However, the third time it seemed as though they weren’t as «perfect» as they were the previous two times but they weren’t «bad». With that being said, I still decided to go back for a 4^th time when they started growing back in. Now, the first 3 times I went to this very nice woman– I don’t know her name but she is thin, long hair and very friendly. This last time I went in and there were 2 people in there, and one was already in the chair with the said woman doing her brows. I had never seen anyone else working at this establishment, so I assumed that it was just her. But this time there was another woman working as well. As soon as I walked in, she motioned me to sit down. Now I’ve had some pretty bad eyebrow experiences, so a new person going at my brows put a little pang of fear into my heart. But I figured, she must be good if she’s working here. BOY WAS I WRONG! This lady absolutely destroyed my brows. One brow is rounded and the other is straight. There are also 2 spots on the rounded brow that have gaps. So not only did she fail to make them the proper shapes, but she couldn’t even thread them straight. Oh, and not to mention, she pulled the hairs out (threading and tweezing) so slow it had me in tears. It literally looks like I took a pair of tweezers and just pulled out a random chunk of hair. I posted a photo of my eyebrows 2 weeks after the incident. Still barely any growth. They are absolutely awful, they make my face look lopsided and it’s ugly and embarrassing to have brows that look this bad. And unfortunately because I’m not a makeup artist or even mediocre when it comes to makeup, I can’t even draw them in properly until they grow back. IF my brows grow back, I will never go back here again.

The lady at Just Threading is super nice and skillful, I’m glad I discovered this place inside Crossgates.
Just a not: Just Threading does not accept the check-​in offer from Unilocal ($ 2 off on check-​in), but it doesn’t matter, $ 10 for eyebrow threading is reasonable price; and the lady worked there offers point cards as well, so you can buy 6 get 1 for $ 5 :)

Although there is little atmosphere, as opposed to the downstairs ARCH threading place in Crossgates, this place is gentler, they LISTEN, and they’re GOOD. Will ONLY go here from now on!

I ended up here because Super Mario’s threading person was not there and I needed to get my brows done ASAP. I was pleasantly surprised. I had walked by before and noticed that they were a bit more expensive than Super Mario’s, but they must have lowered their prices because it was only $ 1 more than Super Mario’s. They did a great job shaping & trimming my brows and they also used witch hazel to calm my skin afterward. Overall, I was impressed and I will be going back since the hours of the threaders at Super Mario’s are inconsistent and you don’t know when they will be there. The atmosphere is a lot nicer at Just Threading, it is quiet and I like that they focus just on threading.
